To apply for a Norway work visa in 2024, you'll need a job offer from a Norwegian employer. The employer will apply for a residence permit on your behalf through the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI). You’ll need to provide documents like your employment contract, passport, proof of qualifications, housing arrangements, and health insurance. Alternatively, you can submit your application at a Norwegian embassy or visa application center. The processing time usually takes around 1-3 months, depending on the job type and your nationality. Feel free to ask if you have more questions! 😊

Hi dear, Impressed by your nice and clear explanation. I have 1 question please and hope u can help me out. i’m from Iraq and I got a job offer from a well known company in Norway ( they are ready to provide a contract and accommodation ) but the only problem or thing that I’m missing from your list is the educational thing! I have only finished high school back then and never went to college, so my question is that ok? Will they reject me or it’s fine since i have got all the other requirements ( contract, accommodation, good CV ) Thank and and waiting for your response 🙏🏻

Yes, it's possible to be accepted for a Norway work visa with only a high school education, especially if you have a job offer, a contract, and accommodation arranged. The acceptance depends more on the job type and your relevant experience than on higher education. Ensure that the job offer is in a field that does not typically require a college degree. It's advisable to check with the Norwegian embassy for specific visa requirements related to your job offer.

Thank u so much! One more question I been working with them already since 2 months but remotely “online” so is it better to mention that in the application or just do it as a normal job offer and that I will start working as long as i get to Norway? Idk if you get what i mean. Also the job is sales manager for a big translation company. So idk if that field requires a college degree? I would be grateful if you could help me out here and if needed i can drop u my WhatsApp number

Yes, dependents are allowed to join you on a work visa in Norway. You can apply for family immigration for your spouse or partner and children, allowing them to live and work in Norway as well. Make sure to check the specific requirements for family immigration when applying.

Thanks for this video. Pls how can i identify employers for a job offer?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 11 ай бұрын
To identify employers in Norway for a job offer, which is necessary for a work visa, consider the following approaches: Use Online Job Portals: Websites like NAV.no, Finn.no, and LinkedIn list various job opportunities in Norway. Check Company Websites: Directly visit the websites of companies in Norway in your field of interest, as they often post job vacancies. Engage in Professional Networking: Utilize LinkedIn to connect with professionals and employers in Norway. Contact Recruitment Agencies: Some agencies specialize in recruiting international workers for Norwegian companies. Participate in Industry Events: Attend industry-specific events or conferences to network and learn about job openings. Research the Norwegian Job Market: Understand the sectors with high demand in Norway, as this can guide where to focus your job search efforts.

Hi! The processing time for a Norway work visa can vary depending on factors like the type of work permit you're applying for and the volume of applications the embassy is handling. Typically, it can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks for the visa to be processed after submission. However, it's always good to apply well in advance to avoid any delays. Make sure your documents are complete and correct to prevent any issues. For specific timelines, you can check the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) website or contact the embassy directly. Best of luck!

Hi. Thank you very much for your helpful video. I have one question and I will be thankful if you could help me with that. I want to come to Norway through a full fund PhD program. As I know I should apply for a work visa not a student visa. I just have my temporary diplomas and unofficial transcripts because the original ones in Iran have became very expensive. I told the university about that and is seems they have find a way to accept my unofficial transcripts. I just want to know if I may have any problem for the visa (because of not having the original transcripts and diplomas) or being accepted by the university solves the problem?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
Having the university's acceptance of your unofficial transcripts and diplomas is a positive step in your application for a full-funded PhD program in Norway. The acceptance by the university should address concerns about your qualifications when applying for a Norwegian work visa. It's crucial to include the university's acceptance letter and any related communication as part of your visa application to demonstrate the authenticity of your academic background. Additionally, maintaining open communication with both the university and the Norwegian immigration authorities can help address any specific concerns or requirements related to your situation.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary 3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your questions! Here's some clarification: Can you work with a 1-year visit visa in Norway? Unfortunately, no. A visit visa (such as a tourist visa) does not allow you to work in Norway, even for jobs like waitressing or cleaning. This visa is strictly for visiting purposes, and working on it would be considered illegal. You need a valid work visa to legally work in Norway. Can you convert a visit visa to a work permit after arriving in Norway? No, you cannot directly convert a visit visa into a work permit while in Norway. To obtain a work permit, you must apply from outside the country, typically from your home country, and have a job offer from a Norwegian employer who will sponsor your work visa application. I hope this clears things up! If you're serious about working in Norway, it's important to get the proper visa before traveling. Best of luck with your plans!

Hi, Thanks for the information. I got my VISA approved in Norway today but I am not in my home country, can I attend the Norwegian Embassy (vfs) here for VISA stamp in London where I have been studying since last one year ?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 4 ай бұрын
Congratulations on your visa approval! Generally, you should attend the visa interview or final processing steps at the Norwegian embassy or consulate in the country where you legally reside or hold citizenship. However, if you are legally residing in the UK as a student and have been there for the last year, you might be able to complete your visa processing in London. It's best to contact the Norwegian Embassy in London directly to confirm whether they can handle your case and what specific documentation they might require given your current student status in the UK.

@visalibrary 9 ай бұрын
When you attend an appointment at a Norwegian embassy for a work visa application, the embassy typically keeps your passport if your visa application is accepted to process the visa. After checking your passport and other documents, if they decide to proceed with your visa application, they will retain your passport to affix the visa sticker upon approval. Once the visa processing is complete, they will return your passport to you, usually via mail or you may have to pick it up from the embassy, depending on their specific procedures.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
The processing time for a family reunion visa in Norway can vary based on several factors, including the volume of applications being processed and the specifics of individual cases. Generally, the processing time can be several months, but it's not uncommon for it to take longer in some cases. Since it has been over 8 months since you applied, I would recommend contacting the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) or the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application. They can provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the status of your application. It's also possible that they may request additional information or documentation, which can affect the processing time.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
No, there is typically no language test requirement for a Norway work visa. The work visa process primarily focuses on your employment situation, such as having a job offer from a Norwegian employer and meeting other visa requirements set by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI). However, language requirements may apply in certain professions or for long-term integration in Norway.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
An auto travel pass is a document that enables temporary access into Norway with a car. It is not a replacement for a visa or work permit. Everyone who wants to work legally in Norway for more than three months must have a work visa, which the employer secures. Both papers are insufficient for admission; a valid visa or residency permit may also be required depending on citizenship and the purpose of stay. Consult an immigration expert or the Norwegian embassy or consulate for additional information.

Is BA in TESOL degree in Sri Lanka and TESOL certificate with 6.0 in IELTS would be eligible for apply to a teaching job in Norway ??? Is learning Norwegian a must to become an english teacher in Norway ?? And how about the salary of teachers , work hours and salary we should maintain to have permanent residency ???
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 3 ай бұрын
A BA in TESOL from Sri Lanka, a TESOL certificate, and a 6.0 in IELTS may qualify you to apply for a teaching job in Norway, but eligibility depends on the specific job requirements and employer preferences. Many teaching positions, especially in international schools or private institutions, may accept English teachers with these qualifications. However, public schools often require higher qualifications and Norwegian language proficiency. Learning Norwegian is often necessary, especially if you want to work in public schools, as fluency in the local language is typically required. For private or international schools, Norwegian may not be mandatory, but learning it would enhance your job prospects and integration into Norwegian society. Teacher salaries in Norway can vary but typically range between NOK 450,000 to NOK 600,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Work hours are usually around 37.5 hours per week. To obtain permanent residency, you generally need to have lived in Norway for at least 3 years and have a stable income. The required salary for residency can depend on your living situation and local regulations, so it's important to consult the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) for specific requirements.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
Yes, in Norway, a work visa is typically referred to as a "residence permit for work." When you obtain a residence permit for work in Norway, it allows you to live and work in the country legally for the duration specified in your permit. The terminology may vary, but a residence permit for work serves as your authorization to work and reside in Norway during the specified period.

Yes, you can apply for a Norway work visa regardless of holding a UAE work visa, as long as you meet the specific requirements set by Norway for the work visa category you're applying for. Your eligibility for a Norway work visa depends on having a job offer from a Norwegian employer, the nature of the job, your qualifications, and how these align with Norwegian immigration laws. It's important to start by securing a job offer in Norway, as your employer will often need to initiate the application process by proving that your skills are needed.
