Just disembarked from the Bliss. I have to say it was a blast and unlike what many people might think it was not cold, in fact, we had 4 days of 28-29 Celsius but I also heard it was not typical for this season. BUT: I highly recommend to try as best as you can to prevent that too many Americans will be on board. I know, this will probably be impossible but many of them them booked the $ 99,00 per day all you can drink package and they used it as much as possible, with all its consequences like being VERY noisy, throwing up and getting on people´s nerves. Don´t get me wrong, I met a lot of very nice Americans on the vessel but few can ruin the fun for many!! The food was great too yet 8 days in a row the same breakfast wasn´t fun so after the 5th day I skipped it the rest of the cruise. The cabin was awesome too, had a one with a balcony and also the bed was very comfy! If one can afford it one should do it!

How did you find the beds on the Bliss? I was on the Encore and I thought they were very hard. Maybe because it was brand new or maybe because it seemed like they used couch cushions for beds instead of mattresses. I know they are sister ships so I am wondering if the beds are the same.

This is not the "Best Ship" for smokers. If you are a smoker, book your room at the back of the ship. No smoking on a promenade deck. No smoking cigarettes in the Humidor Cigar room. There are only two smoking area on the ship for cigarette smokers. A small space, about 10' x 20' in the Spice H20. Very cold on an Alaska cruise. If H20 closes, there is no place to smoke. It closed the first day of our cruise, we were sent to a tiny cramped open air place on deck 19 aft. So windy we couldn't stay there. The second place is a very small glassed in area in the casino. When the casino is open. If you are handicapped and on a scooter or in a wheelchair. this room has no auto door openers. You have to wait for someone to come or go to hold the door for you. I don't find this Free Style cruising. I will be going back to ships that are more compatible for all passengers.
