I just came back from a few weeks in Norway. I talked to a lot of people(everyday people that are not involved in the tourist industry). Everyone I met was friendly , engaging, and asking questions about my travels and life. I loved the country and the people.

Lies, many moody people in Oslo like they're depressic/suicidal. Danes and Swedes are friendly though, Norwegians not so on average

Honestly, this “coldness” is why I’ll move there. I like to have my personal space and have a small friend circle. Perfect for me. Here in Hungary everyone is in everyones business, and it always bothered me. I also like the literal cold, I hate everything over 25 degrees 😅😅

I would breakdown in Norway. I moved from Brazil to the eua, and am already suffering. I want people arriving at my house unexpectedly. I feel offended if my friends ask permission to open my fridge. It is all about connection.

My mother is Norwegian and her side has a stoic, yet placid personality. I visited Norway and saw my “family” everywhere! I saw my family names (Moen, solberg, haakenson,Olson) everywhere! I just couldn’t afford to live there! Prices are off the charts. That’s what was saddening. And sadly-there’s coldness in my family-proneness to being easily offended that I wish was not there. I honestly envy the Italian culture where they can yell and scream at each other and the next day they’re Hugging. Of course I relate to Scandinavians bc I’m 70% …but wish we could be more open.

i don't think norwegians are cold، they respect for privacy. In fact, human beings have meaning in society And norwegians understand the meaning of society very well. I love Norway and I consider myself part of Norway And I hope to go there one day.❤❤❤😊

I’m Norwegian American and when visiting in Norway, I recall hiking in the mountains. I would see a stranger in the middle of nowhere and there was no eye contact or words spoken! Lol. I realized it wasn’t rudeness but a cultural difference. They hike to get away from people.

I went on a 3 day minicruise from the netherlands to norway, kristiansand to be exact and we stayed there for 4 hours and the People there where not cold at all. In the restaurants and the supermarket i was grerted warmly and they where very chatty. It remindef me of us dutch People, they where kind and warm but straight forward and direct. On the way back i met some lovely norwegian truckers and i learned alot from them. I would like to go back asap! Love from the netherlands

I have one friend who was living in Italy for 3 years. Now she lives in Sweden. She tells me that when she was in Italy although you see many fuuny warm people but when you need help mostly they don't help you or even don't like to stop and listen to you. She also said in Italy you can find somebody to become your friend more easier than Sweden but even those friends are not very kind and helpful with you. They are very selfish and can be arrogant. She says most people in Sweden are kind and helpful and much more polite than Italians. Sorry I don't want to generalize all Italians. ❣️

I am more phlegmatic kind of person,I keep it balanced. There is always room for a good laugh and a good moment for silence. To my experience Norwegians seem very passive aggressive and with some deep issues, scared to show any emotions and depended on social opinion. Also very narrow-minded,didn't expect it frankly saying from them. As everything on the planet is dualistic, they do have "pluses" as well. They are very disciplined, productive and hardworking people as you noticed on their economics. They know how to manage things. P.S. Really bad option for immigration for thus who want to immigrate. As for traveling especially hiking -great place.

What I most see here in KZbin are people who already live for 2 or 3 years in Norway and even speaking the language they can’t make friendship because of this so called “coldness” of norwegian people. They just won’t allow you to get any closer if you are a foreigner”. Norway 🇳🇴 is so amazingly beautiful but I couldn’t live in a placr like that..specially after hearing the Barnevernet rules .
