Norwegian M75 Field Uniform

In todays topic I describe the legendary M75 field uniform, a piece of kit that is close to many Norwegians hearts.
This is really the 2nd pattern, as the 1st version had no camo, and small differences in the cut of the jacket.
Used by all branches this is a quite practical uniform that has a lot of thought put into it, with inspiration from both American and British design. This is where the famous Norwegian Forest Camo was invented, commonly known as M75 camo.

As a South Korean, I feel a strong sense of homogeneity that Norway's field jackets have been affected by U.S. military uniforms. The South Korean military also wore the M51 field jacket design for nearly 60 years. And your camouflage pattern looks beautiful like a Western oil painting from the perspective of Northeast Asians.

The solid olive green jacket without shoulder straps/epaulets was supposed to have sticker insignia on the shoulders, for some reason.and was standard issue until 1981. The camo pattern was initiailly restricted by a degree of security level, and a loss of the jacket lead automatically to a civilian and military police investigation. The utilitarian pocket in the lower back was never specified for anything particularly, but was for field use very convenient for an ass pad. :)

Halla! Har hørt den store lommen bak ble brukt til å legge den ende duken (til en 7-duker ect) under escape øvelser og lignende. Dette er jeg ikke 110% sikker på, men vet den er stor nok til det.

Aaaah, ja det er ikke så usannsynlig. Har ikke prøvd det, men kan se for meg at det er klumsete å løpe rundt med en teltduk i baklomma.

Vi brukte den lomma til komagenseren (genser, tykk, ull, grønn), teltduken var festet på stridssekken, den var alltid med uansett.

Joda, men det ble bare klomsete uansett hva en prøvde å putte inni den... Holdt meg til en bit fra et liggeunderlag. Teltduken hadde jo en grei plass på den gamle stridssekken. 😊

I got the jacket from a private seller, and the trousers from Sandefjord Paintball. There are a handful of stores selling these
