Norwegian Star - Club Balcony Suite - Room Tour - Norwegian Cruise Line

The Club Balcony Suite (CBS) on Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) as you can see is more spacious than a regular balcony room. On this particular cruise, we were in the land of the midnight sun, so having an extra blackout curtain was perfect. The second curtain serves as a partition for the sitting area. This is very nice when traveling with children.
I would suggest paying attention to where your cabin is located on this ship. On Norwegian Star, many Club Balcony Suites are located right under the buffet. Many guests were complaining of noise that lasted all night long, as crew cleaned the buffet area.
The CBS is an entry level suite with a few perks. We enjoyed the welcome champagne 🥂 . There were also desserts delivered on some afternoons. I will say other cruise lines have more comfortable beds. The partition in the middle of the bed that turns the twins into a queen is very pronounced. I also suggest having shows/movies downloaded on a device, as NCL still has very old programming on the TV’s. There aren’t many channels and the movies (shown on loop) are quite dated.

Thank you for the video. Did you notice noise in the cabin from the pool deck or Garden Cafe above?

You're welcome. We didn't have pool deck noise, but there was some from the Garden Cafe. We actually switched cabins because of this. If you decide to be on that deck, I'd recommend being closer to the front or back of the ship for less noise.

How is the TV location from the bed for movie watching? It doesn't look to comfortable. The bathroom seems small for a suite. How was it on your trip? Thank you for the clear in-room suite video!

You’re welcome! The tv location is ok. I agree it could be better. I suggest having movies/shows downloaded to a device before you board the ship. NCL is behind in tv offerings. There’s still very few channels and the movies they play on loop are quite old. The bathroom was fine for us. We liked having a full size shower. The counter right outside the bathroom is what I use to get ready. Overall, I prefer a suite over a balcony room for the extra space even if not a huge difference. For our sailing the entry level suite wasn’t much more than a balcony room so it was an easy decision for us to upgrade. Thanks for your questions ☺️
