Hi, Philippe! I've only just recently discovered these Deepeeka "viking/rus" swords made in 1060 steel. By-the-Sword has them (at a good price) but says that "Norwegian Viking Sword from Barrow L-13 by Deepeeka PRS419" is only EN45 and after I questioned this, they said that Deepeeka confirmed this. However Dark Knight and the videos I've seen (by Deepeeka and/or you) say all three of these swords (10th Century Norwegian Viking Sword, Rus Type E Viking Sword, Rus Viking Sword) are 1060. Do you think Deepeeka changed the blade steel from 1060 to EN45, for the "Norwegian", at some point? I see that the leather on the grips has changed on some of these swords, over time. I'd like to clear up the blade composition issue, before making a purchase. I'd obviously prefer 1060. Thanks! Barry F.

Hey Barry ! As far I know, Deepeeka swords was made of EN45 steel. I got mines direct from them. As for the Barrow L-13 or The Vendel Period Sword, I changed the color of the grip myself for green
