for your question what year that "War" (it's just a small skirmish in the Warhammer 40k Universe actually) takes place, is the year 40.000 (that's why it's called Warhammer 40.000), the far Future. Humanity reached it's peak in the year 15.000 and then a dramatic fall due to the corruption of Chaos (basically multiple Satans of that Universe). All of Humanity is united under one Flag, called "The Imperium of Man" and Humanity conquered most of the Milky Way Galaxy and is in constant War with itself and other Races like the Orks, Tau, Chaos, Eldar (Sapce Elfs), Dark Eldar (Emo Space Elfs), Tyranids and Necrons. In this Video you see 2 Regiments of the Military from the Imperium of Man: 1. The Imperial Guard (Tanks and the marching Guys) 2.
