I REALLY hope all of you enjoy this video. I really, for the life of me cannot understand why anyone (who likes snooker, with a passion like I do, anyway) could dislike this video. After all, Ronnie is the best player, perhaps, to ever live. Steve Davis in the 1980's and Steven Hendry in the 90's were also supremely talented players but I think Ronnie even surpassed these two in his era. Judd Trump is now world number one, or was when I last looked, overtaking Selby to the ultimate, number 1 spot in the world. I used to live in the same house as a cousin of his in Devon, England believe it or not. Enjoy all!

Route NRide it’s perfectly legal to redistribute copyright material, on KZbin as long as you don’t monetise said video which I’ve never done. It doesn’t let you if you try, anyway. Ronnie's control of the cue ball is unparalleled. There are possibly better potters, better players of safety and players with better temperament. But they don't have the break-building ability of Ronnie. They wouldn't have even tried to make a clearance from that position. I will always believe Steven Hendry was the best (and his lone record of 7 times still stands as testimony of that ... as I believe it will forever) but Ronnie O'Sullivan is without a doubt the most gifted player to ever pick up a cue! If ever two people could be the "BEST" of anything, it would be Hendry and O'Sullivan! Many great players came before and several reign now. Others will rise in the future but Hendry and O'Sullivan will be forever linked as the pinnacle of this sport. It's my fondest wish that if O'Sullivan ever gets 8 world titles that Hendry be the moderator and hand him the trophy.
@benrogersdevon3 жыл бұрын
Hendry was a great player and is a great pundit / commentator as well an Ambassador for the sport! I agree about Ronnie being the most ‘gifted’ player to ‘pick up a cue’! The only bad side to the Rocket 🚀 is his, sometimes unpredictable temperament & some of the statements he comes out with (usually about retiring), but as for him sometimes playing what the pundits sometimes call ‘the wrong shot’ is something that has crept into his game; in my opinion. Once he plays with a positive mental attitude, the difficult shots & cue ball control usually pays off and he is a player who can win a frame from the smallest error from his opponent, but I guess the same can be said for all of the top 64 / 32 players! Ronnie plays snooker like it was on a pool table; making extremely difficult (for club players) shots & cue ball positional play look incredibly simple & straightforward! Hendry deserved his world titles & he worked hard to earn the achievements he’s got. Would be a great sight that; if O’Sullivan won another world title & Hendry was the man to hand the elusive trophy over!

to be number one you have to win more than one frame!

lsbrother for me to make a clearance like that is the biggest achievement I could make in my life,screw titles and rankings,anyone can win a tournament or a title,but not everyone can make a clearance like that,that is why the guy is called a genius.

he won 5 world titles and overall i think he is the best player of all time along with the likes of stephen hendry and alex higgins. its just that last year selby won the world title and he won more titles so he is currently no. 1

Actually the ranking is now done on money won (presumably in ranking tournaments) so, in theory, you could be no. 1 without winning any tournaments (although admittedly, in practice, not very likely!)
