Hi, Christian. Thank you very much! When I initially contacted The Raveonettes, it was my original intention, to only do one single music video as a film director - and that would have to be for my favorite band. So I wrote to them, and we agreed that I should direct the video for their upcoming single release, 'Gone Forever', from their album 'In and Out of Control' . But in connection with the making of this video, I came in contact with someone who knew Eddie Chacon (from 'Charles & Eddie'), and I was asked to do a video for him on his duo-project 'The Polyamorous Affair'. I've since then, directed several music videos, which rapidly became one of my favorite ways to express myself artistically (if I'm given enough trust and freedom, naturally). The idea behind the "internet-only" release of this video, was so that Raveonettes-fans, could discover this video for themselves - sort of like, a "secret"-video treasure. The best way to distribute music videos today, is without question, through the world wide web. Fewer and fewer people, watch MTV or similar flow-tv-channels for the sake of catching their favorite music video, and social media helps along with the distribution without any cost from the record company, + anyone can watch the music videos that they want - when they want. Thank you for your question, and I hope my answer was helpful to you.
