Online speculations suggest that some pop culture references within the show might be creating challenges for Disney to secure streaming rights. Although we aren’t necessarily convinced about this theory’s validity, in the absence of an official explanation from Disney, it cannot be entirely dismissed. Another plausible explanation might be that Disney has not yet found the time to adapt the show for Disney+. Given that the series is more than 25 years old, significant advancements in technology since its production mean that certain modifications are necessary for its migration to Disney+.
@BR-jw7pm5 ай бұрын

Wildcats was cancelled because of its bad critic score, & the toys not selling well. This caused DC comics to strip Nelvana of the license. So what did the critics say that made the show fail? Choppy Animation, Lousy Voice Acting, & Boring Writing!!!😮 They also claimed the Intro Theme was annoying as Heck. While Comic purists hated it, due to it striving too far from the comics. I saw the 1st 9 episodes myself, & I thought it was good.

@@jamesmoss3424 I just finished watching the whole show. It became apparent by the end, what the critics were talking about! I found the animation to have altered to an extent, & be very choppy. The Writing wasn't boring, but the acting was so over the top = it became laughably bad! It contradicted earlier episodes, with plotholes (Mainly with the Daemonites themselves, but this was somewhat minor). The show gets darker as it progresses, only to backtrack rather quickly!! It threw a quick jab at Capitalism, which could be funny.... but clearly marketing executives & businesses in general found that rude. This next part is a spoiler, so stop reading right here![The ending was a bit anticlimactic, for the villain was defeated by a means that didn't make that much sense!!].

WildC.A.T.S had a rival show called Ultra Force (basically another X-Men ripoff). Both only lasted one season, but what happened afterwards was that both Marvel and DC bought out their publishers (Wild Storm and Malibu) and absorbed the series. Thankfully, they both still exist (WildC.A.Ts belong to DC and show up every now and then, but Ultra Force is pretty much dead...thanks Marvel).
@jessewilley5315 ай бұрын
yeah and Malibu getting eaten by Marvel during production of the show is part of why the show ended. Once Marvel's own bankruptcy hit and they came out of it as a division of ToyBiz, Avi Arad said Ultraforce is a Marvel property. I won't have Marvel properties at a rival toy company. So without an Ultraverse toy line, there was no need for a show. Being on in syndication where fewer people would see it meant nobody would notice it was gone.
