Nostalgic Organ Medley - sounds of the 60's-70's-80's / Stefaan Vanfleteren - Wersi Organ Sonic OAX

This afternoon I played some sounds and songs referring to the successful and booming years of the electronic organ : The 50/60's, with the Hammonds orchestras, the seventies with the transistor organs and analog string modules (the Wersi Helios had it all), and the first wavetable based mixed digital/analog organs of the eighties, with the typical German electro disco sound. At the end of this era, WERSI created the best organ ever made : the WERSI Atlantis. Enjoy all these sounds of some past decades in this 18 minutes medley !

Dear Stefaan , theres’s only one person that sounds like this music sounds . You. It just came up on my tablet.I d forgotten how much I’ve missed you in the last however months . Losing 2 daughter’s in the last year has really knocked the wind out of my sail’s. It’s so good to hear you again. I need your positive energy back in my life cause I’m still alive and still have 3 daughter’s and many grand and great- grands to be alive for. Sending love and hug’s. Can’t think of a better time to get caught up on you and your beautiful music. I’m 85 yrs. Now. Hope you don't mind some questions Stefaan. Is the music you are playing the score or are you improvising some of it? Does the Wersi Sonic OAX have its own speakers or do you have your own speakers or are you using both? Fantastic musician Stefaan and same for the Wersi instrument. I see a video now of your first medley on a Wersi.

Dear Colin, thank you so much for watching my videos. For the music I play, I always have the score. But I never play the score exactly as it is (except for some classical music pieces). So it’s a combination of the original score, making my own “organ rendition”, and improvising. The Sonic OAX800 has built in speakers, but I use it with two additional Wersi Speakers TS9000.

@@StefaanVanfleteren That I suspected Stefaan, that is what made it so brilliant. I have an old Kawai organ bought years ago arthritis stopped me using the base pedals, then the Leslie speaker decided to stop working. Ended up with a Yamaha keyboard that I could handle will all the arthritis, Stay safe and keep playing for us.

Why is there no sound from the bass pedals?

Actually, there is good sound from the bas pedals. However, the deep and warm bas sound of my Weris organ is sometimes not good represented on small speakers (e.g. of a smartphone) or very basic audio equipment. I would recommend to listen to my videos on hifi equipment or with quality headphones. Thanks for listening anyway !
