It is a Shapeshifting human hand. It turns itself into a cute little frog. And it preys on little kids that get too curious and try to pick it up or pet it. That’s when it’s hand comes out of it’s mouth, like a Xenomorph. And it pulls kids in crushing their bodies. It digests the body practically melting it, then the hand moves on to its next victim. Continuing the cycle of carnage. It can take many forms such as, Stray Cat, Stray Dog, Hamster, and other cute animals kids would want to touch. The frog is it’s main form though.
