@@Mr.Shifty just the usual with buying any car, service history etc, on the mk3’s particularly looks out for rust and if a VR6 listen to it start from stone cold and listen for chain rattle, big expensive job if it’s needed

Kerbie, can I ask something please mate. I do small jobs on cars (component changes, electric windows, wing mirrors, broken lights, easy stuff) but now a guy with a Mitsubishi L200 (Barbarian) has asked me to change the DPF Filter on it. I took a look, searching underneath for it but it'd seems to be in the back of the engine bay, next to the Cat' is it? It's got a wide heat shield on it, 3 or 4 sensors & pipes attached &, looking at replacement ones online, I'd say it turns a corner before meeting the exhaust lower down! My question is, are they very hard to swap-out, does the whole engine have to be swung forward, are special tools needed, have you ever done one Kerbie? Any advice please?

Thanks for the reply Kerbie........you're a total legend; just getting a response has made my day! Didn't know you could clean them in situ', thought proper cleaning was only an option once they were off. Have seen videos of them being cleaned (off the vehicle) inside a blast cabinet type thing so thought it had to come off. The owner has tried one of those gimicky products that claim to rejuvinate them but it did nothing...he's still getting warnings on the dash. Anyway, thanks once again......@@kerbsidemobilemechanic

@@TomTremayneno worries mate, you can get a can of DPF cleaner from euro car parts called Normfest DPF100, works wonders, spray it down the DPF pressure sensor that goes down to the DPF (one before not after DPF) have a look at O’Reilys vídeos to learn more 👍

Great Video 👍 I'm not sure about these types of partnership's really. You are the one adding value really, you would be better charging your partner for the work you actually do. Less risk for you. Give him a good rate obviously. 👍

I understand your point of view but we work well together and he’ll do the side of it I don’t like doing or have time for, he’ll also get his hands dirty so that helps. Also in it for long haul and always handy having someone else to handle the workload, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on all my videos so far 👍

Bud not really seen much of you on KZbin to be honest, but from what I’ve just seen I really like it you really no your stuff, in the car game you will all ways win some and lose some . Unfortunately that’s the name of the game. but the way your doing it you couldn’t do it any better I personally think your friend is obviously the seller and you’re the fixer when you have a team, like that you cant do anything better trust me I personally always go with my gut feeling if I don’t feel it, I don’t buy it, but then sometimes you can quickly turn something around in a blink of an eye I can see you and your friend going far in this channel, and doing very good. Keep up the good work and more videos please 👌
