Even I ve had incidents in my 22 yrs.But I've been in companies where the average hire can be trusted in NYC,if he was willing to go.And I've worked at others where you can't trust the average hire to go down the street and back. You just know he's gonna clip a stop sign ,bang a curb ,smash the dock lights. You know that your sitting in a classroom with mostly ticking bombs.I met a new guy just two weeks ago.Everything about him screamed new guy! Not being facetious here.I felt kinda bad for him.I absolutely positively know that within 3 months he is going to bang something. I can only hope that it's in a trk stop so as not to be at a high rate of speed when it happens.

It is important to get good training. The one thing that any trainer should emphasize is that when backing or turning corners, you do it slowly and WATCH THE MIRRORS. If you aren't sure, get out and check. You arent saving time by ignoring these rules and winding up like this poor driver.

yup there’s a warehouse that i know that has one loading dock and make things worst it’s right next to a 7 lane street with a middle turning lane in the middle. you can only approach from south to north and back up in a angle going south west. drivers usually park right in the middle turn lane and wait for all 6 driving lanes to clear so they can get angled blocking almost all lanes just to back in the dock. this dock is also right next to a busy intersection. sometimes they be seating there waiting for an hr or more unless they get lucky and the cars stop to let them do their thing.

It does not matter how many millions of safe miles you have driven.... NOBODY is exempt from a moment of blind stupidity, and NOBODY is immune, no matter HOW safe they are. Regardless of how many decades you have driven safely with no incidents, you are still vulnerable to one of these moments. ANY driver who doe not admit this is purely incompetent and should have his/her CDL revoked for senility. There NEVER has been, and NEVER WILL BE a "perfect" driver. EVER. Many come close, but NOBODY, past, present OR future, holds, that title, except for the delusional. For every 10 million mile safe driver, there will ALWAYS be somebody in their rear view that will disagree with that driver's safety practices, having witnessed that "safe" driver's moment of weakness first hand, then watching that "perfect driver" just drive on into the sunset, possibly having no idea what damage they caused, so in their mind, it never happened... Another "perfect" day. In the real world, there are good drivers, bad drivers, mediocre drivers, terrible drivers, and yes, there ARE excellent drivers. One defining characteristic of an excellent driver is the recognition of their own vulnerability, combined with the ability to minimize that weakness. It is impossible to avoid a problem forever if you don't even Acknowledge the problem even exists. Bottom line is, EVERYBODY makes mistakes, and the best time to make them... is when nobody is looking... or recording... And leaves no evidence of any such mistake ever occurring.

ENTERTAINMENT-77 Regardless, there was no expectation of privacy in the open. Would you have felt better if I stepped out onto the street and filmed it? If I can be seen from a public area, I can be filmed and there's not much I can do about it. If I had a problem with being filmed I would move to an area with a reasonable expectation of privacy.

ENTERTAINMENT-77 Hmm. OK. Search for "Prime Backing." A driver records a Prime truck backing into a hole at a truck stop. You can clearly see the trailer number. Is that the same?
