Interesting, I have the same stance as you, but I do my railstands (and try do to coconut wheelies) with the feet the other way (back foot is pressing down)

I've seen some skaters do railstands that way. I think it's a bit smoother of a transition with your front foot pressing down for coconut wheelies, because your back foot is in place to catch the board and carry most of your weight. If you can make it work your way, though, that's great!

@@openSourceskateboards I'll let you know if I get it somewhat consistently. I think it might even me stabler, because then the back of the board follows the front, instead of the back pushing the front forward. (Because the weight is on the front truck)

you say you have looser trucks, i do too, so how do you do it without carving heelside? I end up turning when I try to get in the rail stand so to compensate I just try to get in it a lot quicker than i normally would. I sprained my ankle a few days ago trying to learn this trick lol. also, do I need to have my manuals decent first? because I don't honestly.

Any updates? I want to do these too with loose trucks

I never did learn this trick and i still intend to in the future but tbh i now have transitioned to tight trucks. It just makes freestyle easier. Not zero turn tight, more like bones hard bushings tight though
