So, let me get this straight. These kids can bend Hamilton over the stump by refusing to play a scheduled game until they got money, then when he says okay to stop the threat and now they expect him to pay when he was under duress in the first place. NIL has gone too far when you can hold hostage a coach and school with no repercussions. I am tired of these kids saying they get nothing for playing. They get a college degree with no student debt and that certainly is a big payment. Ask anyone who paid their way through college and now has student debt to pay off how they feel about that.

Rising Spear is a sham. They are broke and only worried about their own paychecks. There has been an effort to bring the two collectives together for a while now and rising spear continues to be stubborn and selfish, in my opinion based on the information I received. I am almost positive they told Leonard the money would be there and that it was okay for him to tell the players that. Perhaps Leonard should have known that was a no-no but Leonard Hamilton is a man of very high character and cares deeply about his players. Find it very hard to believe this is something he did on his own volition.

Sorry, boys, this kind of idle talk happens all the time in businesses as well as universities. People can say anything they wanna say unless you got something in writing I’m not sure what you have in reality. I know they’re verbal contracts and so forth that have been upheld in court cases. However, it’s a very, very difficult way to extract money from a university. I am not sure who is guiding these players, but I know they can have agents and agents get contracts and they get people to sign on the dotted line. That’s what should’ve happened. The players should not have believed a single thing the coach said nor any coach for that manner. Put it in writing or shut up.
