LOL! I remember playing this game. I was at the final level where I had to destroy the Emperor Worm. I spent almost a day, retrying after every defeat. Then in my last attempt, out of desperation, I said, "Oh to hell with this", then I ordered 2 Ixian Projectors to just charge at the emperor worm from the base, then i spammed tons of Devastator Holograms LOL. I unexpectedly won the game in only 36 seconds. Watta bummer hahahaha

I did it with Sonic Tanks first but they kept running into patrols and losing too many numbers on the way to the objective, hence my idea to try with invisible fedaykin who still have good damage. Just take care not to blob them up or the ones firing from behind will kill all the projections in front of them.

@@RIDDICK0911 I don't think that "energetic" fits post-apocaliptic convention put to extremum, more likely it should be overraly depressive, melancholic, giving the "looking at the void" kind of feeling which Earth express really well. To be fair, I only heard about using that ost in various of media, but it was far later on after game release. And of course lots of classical music remixes are present as well, but whatever. Modern music is based on it more or less anyway.

I've just realised how huge of an impact this game's OST made on my music taste. I've played the game for tens of hours at my granddad's PC around the age of 8-12, Ordos being my favourite faction (because edgy, but cooler then Harkonnen). Then I forgot about the game, just to regain the memory today, being almost 21, for no particular reason. Binge listening to the OST rn, and my favourite Russian band sounds like they took an inspiration in some Ordos tracks (even if they most likely didn't lol) That's really surreal, seeing one of my favourite childhood games, which none of my friends even heard about at the time, getting this amount of love on the internet. I just started writing music myself like half a year ago, so now I definitely want to make something in the style. P.S. For those wandering - the band is called Biopsyhoz, I'd recommend checking out the Reincarnation (Перерождение) album, it's genuinely awesome.

We are 3 brothers in our family and while playing dune naturally we have favorite sides and it Comes that Eldest Is fan of Atreides , Elder of Harkonnen and Im fan of Ordos. Funny though ^^ .

​@@combinecommando001 Oh, but on the other hand, the books have a great compensation(in this regard), and that is > all those goddamn conspiring subfactions. In E: BfD, they're only scarcely mentioned in cutscenes, briefings, and actual play-wise they're only represented by a single buildind and two units. In Dune 2000 campaign, the Corrino House(and the Sardaukar) did get a separate faction(and base, and even Emperor's Golden Frigate Palace, or how should I call it) that was constantly feeling up your butt during missions, but nothing more. The smugglers were your active allies(own base) in the last Ordos missions in D'2000. Oh and the Fremen, mind you, only get their own cutscenes during Atreid campaigns. While in the books, all these minor sub-factions were actually, constantly, moving the plot forward in all kinds of ways, it was in no way just a black-x-white Harkonnen-x-Atreid. So, as far as I'm concerned, concerning the canonical Dune, it's still pretty cool, even without the Ordos.
