Ichinose caught on to Ayanokoji's plan. However, in the book, she wasn't entirely sure Karuizawa was the VIP, so she went up to him to try and see if she couldn't confirm it. Class A just beat her to the punch and sent in the (wrong) answer. It's worth noting that Karuizawa wasn't actually there when Ichinose went to talk with him. It would make no sense for them to be seen together. As far as everyone else is concerned, there's absolutely nothing between the two of them, so they avoid each other in public. Not to mention that she doesn't _want_ to be around him any more than she has to. Just because she agreed to team up with him doesn't mean she likes him. She holds a grudge for the way he treated her and thinks he's a creep. The beach/pool* episode in Season 1* was intended to happen after this exam and help her see him in a different light, but the anime hijacked it and turned it into a Horikita episode. *Edited.

I'm pretty sure it was explained last season but just as a reminder. Sakayangi, the girl leader of Class A is ok with losing rn because it means Katsuragi who was leading Class A for the last 2 exams will lose influence, allowing Sakayanagi to take sole control over Class A.

She's honestly the more interesting leader. Arisu is trying to win by asserting A's dominance and pulling off what needs to be done to keep their status undisputed. Katsuragi's whole game is to simply not lose until graduation. So no risky plays and no complex gambits within gambits like Ayanokouji and Ryuen.

What you need to know or focus on is the fact that Ichinose and her class waited till the very end of their session to start talking about this "showing our phones" strategy. This is so that as soon as someone is identified to be the VIP, the session ends giving everyone a chance to betray the group. Also, Ichinose is not so kind. If she knew for sure that Kei was the VIP, she would have betrayed the group. She didn't because she didn't know for sure.

Class D's in 2nd place. Not bad. But given the disunited state of the class--better than they could have hoped for. The whole test is founded on how well a class uses and controls information. Which in turn means it is kind of a test on how well the leaders of the classes, official or self-appointed, can control their classes. And Kiyo has no direct control over D. He had hoped to use Suzune for both cover and to act as leader while he works as her _eminence-grise,_ but aside from being a good mask for him as a strategist, Suzune's not a very useful tool: she's a stubborn, prickly girl with a brother complex the size of Jupiter and her first instinct to everything he suggests is to debate, question, adjust, and push-back. Her prickly stand-offishness, while winning some admirers and respect, also mean she has the least sway and social pull over Class D's recognized leading figures. Kiyotala can't get her to pull strings for him even if she wanted to, because she has very few and very weak strings to pull. Kiyo's goal this time was simply to gather power within his class. And Kei? Is everything he needs for not just power within D--but also other classes. As a preppy, socially astute, and seemingly self-assured pretty girl, she holds nigh complete control over all girls in D, has an effect (even if negative) on the girls of other classes due to her reputation, and her beauty makes her viable as a honey trap should he need it. She would also never go against any of his orders out of fear and her acute sense of self-preservation. Helping Hirata out with Kei also won him his support. And he controls the boys and is the official Class Rep. With both Hirata and Kei in his pocket? And Suzune as his mask? Kiyotaka now has all the tools he needs to pull off whatever he needs to do. As for Class A...Nah, they're just getting bodied this whole trip. 3rd on the island and last on the ship, Katsuragi's not doing great.

Class A lost this one and didn't do well in the island test, but they still have a huge lead. So, as said, the girl with the cane (Sakayanagi) is probably okay with losing since the bald guy (Katsuragi) will take the blame. I hate to say it, but Class D's gain this time was due to _Koenji._

The reason Kiyotaka did this and stage the whole thing was to test Kei's mental fortitude as she did already show it, as Kei is willingly to gave her body in exchange of her secret which is was her scar. Now about the darkness that he refer to is basically his own past what he said to Kei is that both him and her are the same they have a traumatic past albeit Kiyotaka's past is more worst as what he said for her they are missing dialogue but you get the point. About the phone yes what they did was a double layer trap basically he switch phone from Kei then to Yukimura and then Kiyotaka will reveal as VIP which he is not. But as what he said yes there is a problem which they will be revealed if someone called them so basically Kiyotaka immediately called his sensei for him to get the unlock method which was to use PP or private points as he already said you can buy anything as long as there is something that you can buy or ask for it. About Ichinose, the reason she there was due to her sensei because of Chabashira (yes this is the name of Kiyotaka's teacher who blackmail him) due to getting suspicious between the two. Why Ichinose didn't betray Class D simple is because they have an alliance as Kiyotaka said in S1 where they need Class B in the long run. That's basically what happen

All that happened is simple to understand, first class A loses and this is ALL, very bad for they guessed wrong the vip, class D won 50 points thanks to GOD KOENJI that guessed RIGHT the vip of his group, class B have no alterations, that is ICHINOSE searching for because this way her class don't loses points of a non sense way slso, ichinose already knew of ayanokoji plan, class C Win this test with 100 points because ryuen( leader of class c) already knew ALL VIPS of his class in every group

The gap is still far for class D to class A. I think the total CP of class D rn is 225cp (island) +50cp (cruise ship. koenji got 50 CP, and horikita group loss -50, ayano/kei group won 50cp)=275 cp. Class a around 900+ i forgot but they still far ahead from class D.
