Thank you for this video it was so refreshing. If we're not careful our hobby becomes collecting stuff instead of creating beautiful things! 🎉
@JennyCardDesignsАй бұрын
I agree! The purpose of my chop, it up videos and stash Buster videos are to use those products that you've purchased rather than collect them and feel guilt over spending money that you've never put to good use. I'm very guilty of that! I hope that I can Inspire some others that may feel the same!

I needed to hear this today, so many times I watch crafting video's where they are highlighting their latest stamps/dies and I really just want inspiration to use what I already have. Its so refreshing to know I'm not the only one who feels this way, because I don't want to buy anything right now and I don't like feeling pressured to do so ( I'm too impulsive for my own good)

Yep. Really enjoyed this. I have had to unsubscribe and unfollow many channels because, in truth, they only exist to promote new things. I have so, so many stamps and dies and papers that I have barely used. By continuing to follow the influencers, I was setting myself up to spend more and acquire more than I needed or truly wanted. Those artists and creators are still out there, and if I need to, I can find them again. But I don't need to. Seeing someone just get in there and use their stuff is refreshing and inspiring. Thank you.

What a fun crafting session. Lately, I've also been using what I have. I made seventy cards last month using up old kits and scrapbook papers. I'm actually getting bored with KZbin videos that keep trying to get us to use the link below and buy more. Sometimes I search for older videos for ideas to use what I have, especially stamps.

Im with you on buying , I have almost as much as a warehouse, way to much stuff, trying to use stuff up now and not buying before I think about it for a while. it is addictive, have to quit at some point, and the time is now, lol

Thank you so much for a great way to go play in my craft room, be creative and not spend any money! Exactly what I needed!❤

I have a ton of stamps and dies that I have never used. And others that I want to use again. I also have a lot of dies but I don’t have the sentiments to go with them. So I re-organized my stash. And I ordered the sentiments needed. And I kept the Certs together, and this week I have made about 50 cards. I did between 10 and 12 of each design. That way I can have some quick cards to hand out, and I get the fun of using my stuff. . I love all of your tags. They are great for adding to folios or giving inside a card. They would be real fun to decorate too! Get out all of your ephemera, buttons, beads, stickers and have a blast. 🥰

I think they all are beautiful. Sometimes we just need that time to just let our hands tell our minds what to do no thought just fun. Great job !!!

Funny that I came across this today as I spent my day in the same mindset - I refuse to buy anything else. So I did some altering of playing cards. It was fun and very non-stressful. I’m going for your tag idea next. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have a platinum six, too. I have found that every embossing folder is different, whether regular or 3D, and different brands are different sandwiches. I went through all my folders and wrote notes for each one on a post it to keep with the folders.

Totally agree !! I get sick of hearing about a new tool ect. Not that I don’t love new things I just get overwhelmed hearing and watching . Honestly I have been avoiding those videos
@JennyCardDesignsАй бұрын
I would agree with you 100%. . Favorite Crafters seem to be sales people. I can't afford to purchase everything that I want and see, so I personally have been avoiding watching their videos because instead of being inspired to craft I'm inspired to shop. And I don't want to do that anymore! I want to make good use of what I have and enjoy my time in my craft room. I hope that I can inspire others who feel the same way , to do the same.

A tip for polymer stamps is to lightly rub the image with an eraser or your finger this can help with stamping a better image. Love your videos ❤️

I'm glad your projects gave you such joy. I hope to see more videos. I really like watching your creations. Don't worry about the New and Great things out there. I think what you have is Great and New. Thanks for sharing, and keep creating 🤗

I have grounded myself from buying more until i use some up. Only exception is adhesive bc well we need adhesives especially if scrapbooking & cardmaking. I'm definitely not allowed to buy more stamps until i use each 1 I have at least once!!! Thank you for your videos, talks & inspirations!!!! ❤

Great Job Jenny! I think my favorites are that green leaf, the Blue clouds and the other blue one that could be an Ocean and OH yeah that one with the Pink & green!! 😯💙💙 I haven't had much of a problem figuring What to do in my craft room since I started watching Craft Roulette, I blame Gina K for getting me hooked on it 😉 Keep having FUN, you're Very Good at it!

I love buying stuff. It's a whole other hobby! But sometimes we have to slow down. Use what we have. It's great to support the crafty industry businesses, but have to be careful not over buying, being wasteful and going bankrupt lol

Hi, Jenny. I have stopped watching certain people because they have all the newest products and supplies. I've been crafting for so many years and my room is overflowing. I don't need new stuff. I would rather use my old things in new ways. It is fun to just play. I just got done making gel prints for the first time and I didn't want to stop. I thought all your tags turned out lovely but if you really don't like some of them just try collaging over part or all of the tag. Have a blessed day and TFS❤ So there is nothing wrong with using older product in your videos.

Love seeing a video about not buying the latest and greatest crafty goodies. I'm trying to do a no buy July. It gets overwhelming seeing all of the new releases. I always check my stash before buying , if I have anything remotely similar as much as I want it I pass. Thank you for this video!

I just love your carefree, willy nellie attitude. It stresses me out to watch creators that have to be perfect. Cuddos to them but it takes the fun out of it for me. Really have enjoyed following your videos and have learned so much. Thank you.❤❤❤

hello, new subbie here. I am NEVER buying another craft supply. My former master bedroom is full to the gills after 25 yrs of doing this. I have that 49 market stamp- the best ink for those acrylic stamps in archival ink. I hope to see more fun videos from you, not too long and no "live" ones I hope. tfs.

You made some great tags! The mushroom stamp was new, did youprepare it before using? I usually go over new stamps with a glue eraser. Furthermore: the stamps in this specific collection are supposed to look a bit distressed. Even the outline stamp isn't totally solid. I have the leaf and butterfly from this collection and they are similar, a bit grungey. Knowing Sizzix and 49 & market, they don't use cheap material.
@pamthornton2922Ай бұрын
I enjoyed watching you play with what you had. I can't wait to see a video showing what you did with them! I have some stamp sets that are acrylic rather than photopolymer that I used to struggle with. With practice I got used to their quirks. I usually use them in the Misti so I can layer because the dye inks I have also bead-up. My acrylic stamps need a lighter touch & more permanent or pigmented(hybrid) inks quite often work better. Did you read your packaging for the mushrooms? Maybe they give some tips to what works best with them.

If you use a stamp platform with the silicone stamps, they will stamp fine. It might take 2-3 inkings

Thanks for saying out loud what needs to be said! Too many channels have become “sneaky commercials” and the price point of these items are getting ridiculous. If they’re not selling a product they’re promoting their classes, seminars, cruises, etc. Enough already.

Lots of nice tags/ideas here! What do you plan to do with the tags?
@JennyCardDesignsАй бұрын
Thank you for commenting ! So sorry for the late reply , and I really wanted to answer this question . I have zero plans for these tags. The purpose of making them was to just get crafty in my space, get my ideas flowing and see what I can come up with. I plan to look at them, Love them and use them to inspire me in future projects. That's the honest answer. There is no purpose other than just to get me playing and having fun!

I can see using the flat tags because you can write on them, but how do you use embossed stamps? (I’m new at this.)
@JennyCardDesignsАй бұрын
You can add a piece of card stock to it to write on so it covers up the back of the embossed part, or you could leave a blank and just tie it to a package to make it look pretty.
@jettielewis8677Ай бұрын
Why so many tags? What do you use tags like this for?
