Another way to solve the problem is to build the largest warehouse in your industrial area, assign it to store the product produced in that industrial area and set it to "empty", that way all the traffic goes to that warehouse and whenever possible that warehouse will send out some trucks to distribute good or export them. You solve the "Not enough buyers" problem and you reduce traffic from industrial zones .

It's basically a variant of options 2 and 3 - adding this warehouse provides an additional source of trucks for transporting the goods, so the trucks of the factories themselves don't have to drive as far.

I have found this out as well. I place medium warehouses next to my industrial areas and also next to my unique factories and set them to zero. Warehouses have a lot of trucks to use for export, so if they are close to factories they will use warehouse trucks for export and decrease traffic ( especially if they have good highway access).

Except when your city bugs and it’s like “not enough buyers” and your commercial is like “not enough product” and you have 3 train cargo, 2 ship cargo, and one plane cargo with little traffic on the highways, with no cargo trucks anywhere on your map 🙃

I've always found the "not enough buyer's" problem to come from the various industrial buildings creating more products than they have truck available for export, often because the trucks they had have exported the products and have a LONG way to go to get back. I've always solved it by building warehouses since they have their own trucks to use to export, usually significantly more infact.

For me the solution is to build half of your size of regular industry and then only build spezilised industry "campus" in order first agriculture, then ore and then oil. When agriculture is on 2 stars build a bakery, when ore is level 2 then limonade and so on... I have never experienced any "not enough buyers" issue. I also tried to put nearly every commercial to ped zones and configured it to local produce and it works very well. And the land value profits from it too.

It is worth noting that eventually you will reach the soft cap on how much you can export. Your city will be colossal before you hit this stage, but it will eventually happen. At this stage there is a policy called "Boost External Connections" which, whilst extremely expensive, will allow you some more exports.

As soon as I built the cargo train station, a million trucks spawned and came from my industry (which had direct access through a bridge, aswell as easy connections) which lead too huge traffic. It turned out to be better to just not have any cargo trains at all

I build warehouse and I make a pedestrian area and select deliver everything. With the warehouse nearby it will drain the warehouse down and not enough buyers disappears quickly. Eventually I turn off the policy and things get back to normal

Without buidlings to store your raw materials, warehouses for the processed goods AND Transfer Manager you can't solve it reliably. The export may work at the beginning, but as soon as you add something to your city it can stop working. Even with Transfer Manager it needs some work to get it right. Each storage building need a dedicated delivery area. Otherwise the crops may be send to the next silo. From there to another silo. But then back to the first one and it gets exported instead of storing it for the mill.

How do you unlock train tracks ? I have 60K people in my city and the train tracks are still locked. I have a cargo harbour which I guess does about the same, but it seems like it's only importing goods and not exporting anything. And I just realized industrial and office zones are in the same category for the demand indicator. So I zoned a lot of office and it kind of solved some problems.

Funny thing is not having enough buyers for product is a real world "issue" its just "solved" by land-filling the excess product (instead of reducing prices to widen the market or reducing production)

Sick of this message. All my industrial buildings are saying it. I then reduce some of the goods industry but then my entire commercial says not enough goods ! I cannot win.

For me industry didn't have enough buyers and shops didn't have enough products to sell, also my rail network was completely clogged up Solution was there was an imbalance in import/export. I was importing 9000 and exporting 1000. This brought in too many trains from outside so the whole rail network ground to a halt and couldn't deliver to other parts of the city. I changed some of my industry to specialise in producing what I was importing most of, this re-balanced my import/export to about 8k each and freed up the rail network so the trains and stations worked properly This completely solved the problem
