Not Even an Attempt to Interview Trudeau. Why?

The RCMP Commissioner admitted they never even attempted to interview Justin Trudeau, the primary person of interest in the SNC affair. Furthermore, they pursued no steps to collect the evidence they needed, other than requesting documents from Trudeau's own office. What is going on here?

I have observed that many if not most top leadership jobs go to those whose first language is French. There have been instances where what is said in French, is not translated in English properly or ignored. Senior Trudeau mandated official bilingualism during early 70’s. I know first hand, how this policy has disrupted many departments in the government. I am all for learning two languages, but the “official policy” has been deliberately misused. I don’t know how many other countries have two official languages, in government, but happy to research.

...No..because all RCMP Commissioners are there at the pleasure of the PM who appoints them. They today are also Deputy Ministers...so that the government can control them and ensure no investigations proceed or are able to be subverted easily. It would be no different with someone else there. What we need is for the RCMP to regain their independence which was given away by a past Commissioner. STOP making them Deputy Ministers and do not let government or the PM appoint them...

I would like to state some ideas that I think would help bring back communication between the people and politicians and accountability to politicians. #1 If they avoid a question in the house of commons during question period, they get fined for wasting time and tax dollars. #2 If they avoid too many questions they are fired without a pension. This should bring some accountability for avoiding questions. #3 We make a site for canadian citizens where we can list questions and then vote on them and the top 5-10 questions get asked at every meeting. This should help the politicians understand what the people are really saying. #4 When politician is finished their term, the people get to vote on if they get a pension or not. This would help with the problem of how they only care about the people during voting time and once its over they toss us under the bus. #5 The people have the power to kick out elected people instead of the politicians being the ones who control themselves. This again would stop them from throwing the people under the bus after they get elected.

I agree, but I don't think any MP or federal employee should be getting tax funded pensions. Save for your retirement like the rest of us.
