I’m getting nostalgia the moment everyone stood up after flight landed , the way the heat hits you as soon as you step out, the feeling of driving through the town, the smell hitting your sense, even the metal door sound shutting in the village. Ahhh what Nostalgia. Would love for you to upload more videos of BD.

Salaam brother, Bimaan is expensive and the service less. We had to go to BD a lot in the last few years for my and my brothers wedding. Based on my experience, buy or bring food from home, Bimaan food is not enough. Also, Bring lots of tissues, my mum laughed at me until she said there is no toilet paper, the toilets are grim are grim after people have eaten so being tissue with you and take some to the toilet as unless you tell the staff, toilet Tissue are not refilled. The only good thing Biman did was get rid of the egg breakfast dish, that stank. This time, when I went in Biman, I wasn't hungry as I brought crisps, chocolate, snacks with me.

Best to avoid buying snacks in the airport. Just go to your local Sainsburys/Tesco before hand. It has to be expected Bdesh is a developing country, hense the airline is not a five star. But they do provide a standard service. Food is okay. There can be delays. Most families take Biman as it is direct to Sylhet. Transit is good for single travellers

Old Dhaka is one of my favourite places in the world so I can't wait to see your insights into Sylhet. Bangladesh is a great destination for independent travel. Disappointing that in this day and age a lot of the additional covid forms can't be lodged pre trip on line thus avoiding long waits after very long flights. Always amuses me when the flight is announced for boarding, dozens of people rush and fight to get in line. They stand there for 40 minutes before anything happens. I flew Biman to Bangkock (1991). Outward journey... Stop over at Dahka, plane going in to land and they're shooing buffalo off the runway, boys fishing in the lakes alongside the runway. There were young lads in millitary fatigues, armed with assault rifles, with brooms to sweep the concourse. The duty free building was the newest structure. I avoided the food, but managed to get a beer! Bangkock is another story! Return journey..... Stop over in UAE....(Not as enriching to the eye as Bangladesh) Very sterile and controlled. We had to stop off in Frankfurt on our way into Europe, for customs checks. As we landed,, some ceiling panels fell out of just in front of me. The dust and rubble was quickly swept up by the flight attendants and I spent the homeward leg of my journey gazing at the exposed wires and cables, worrying about short circuits. However, suitably sustained by my breakfast of curry-stuffed donut and three year old fried egg. I made it back to Heathrow in one piece!
