NOT OFF TO A GOOD START [Caravanning Australia]

We finally set off with our new tow rig and head for the high country but its not off to a good start.
Now that we have settled into the chef, it was time to set off back to the high country with our mates. %km down the road we almost run out of fuel in the Chevy and need to pull over to put diesel in. We then head to Granny's flat just outside Jamieson where things get a little difficult in the chev.

Hey Sue and Derek, watched a video recently whereby fuel was contaminated with water from a service station in NSW. Their Silverado had only done 10, 000klms. Ensure you take the receipt after paying for the fuel, this is identification for date, bowser and fuel type you use, just in case insurance company requires this as proof. This young family have been without there car for three weeks due to needing fuel injectors which are not in Australia currently. Hope they are back travelling north with there van now, along with the vehicle after the repairs..

My husband and love your channel! You keep it real, and are just yourselves :). We are currently in the giant deliberation of our next tow vehicle (we have a new Zone as well). Crikey it's a thought process. The 2500 Chev does stack up with what you get out of the factory. Just wondering if you'd be happy to share who you are insured through? Also, do you know who your friends with the white chev go their canopy from?

Thanks for showing us your experiences. We have a zone and when you r soo close to a tree, us the air bags to tilt.saves all that reversing, going wider etc.😮

After the Cruisers which give a much longer “reserve”, the Chev will catch you out till you get used to it. Never ran out but came close a couple of times, till I just resigned myself to reading a quarter of a tank as empty.

Longer wheelbase makes tight tracks hard work. Extra width means lots of scratches and broken mirrors. Fuel economy 😂 none.

Mate, I've got an old 1998 Merc van. 7 to 11 Litres per 100km economy. Fully decked out motorhome. No adblue required...she'll do me.
