Thank you, Senator Sanni. Regarding corruption, why would anyone expect a President to publicly announce plans to probe the military? Doing so would risk inviting a coup the very next day! Such investigations must be conducted covertly. Some agendas are best kept under wraps.

Exactly Shehu Sani. See the size of the proposed 2025 budget for the Military! Over 4 trillion Naira! That is why the Military, the Police and the Security and Intelligence Agencies think their primary objective and duty is to defend and protect the President and not Nigeria and Nigerians! All in the name of "protecting democracy"! They are given huge chunk of the National Cake to eat! During Buhari's tenure as President the then NSA General Monguno lamented the fact that the Military could not justify how they spent the huge money allocated to them! Exactly. Tinubu is afraid of the military, that is the fact. Hausa man will say " IN KA GAN GEMU DAN UWANKA YA KAMA WUTA, SHAFA NAKA RUWA" meaning that, if you see your neighbor's house on fire, then its better to take steps against fire escalation. Tinubu has seen what happened in Niger, Mali and Cort de voir and would not want that to happen to him hence his claim of having confidence and trust on the military added with heavy allocation.
