The stairs at the start bring some bad memories of climbing back up them

Great to see the trail and summit. Brings back memories of my first overnight hike with scouts. We camped near the base of Mt Solitary. There and back via the Golden Stairs.

Good one mate. Looks like a great walk. I bet you felt every one of those 7 Kilos of water. Morning coffee, fire, blue skies... yes .. perfect start to the day indeed!

After lugging all the canyoning kit the day before this actually felt lovely in comparison haha Absolutely is! Hope you have some trips planned? This weather is just stunning and only set to continue :)

@@JakeMarcin Yep, am heading off this weekend to do some pack rafting and camping, so will hopefully have a new video coming out soon (I'm still procrastinating in relation to the video for my Snowy Mtns road trip I did in March, got way to much footage to sort through.)

Oh nice! Getting chilly for those water activities though lol. I am thinking of a paddle camp myself though. Yeah that’s the problem isn’t it, all that editing... going through that footage... I made this edit so much more simple, and have done the last few a similar way, no music, no fluff, just the trip. Don’t know what to think of it yet but it definitely takes the burden off the editing and saves a lot of time, plus I guess it’s one way to get the story of the hike across

Nice little overnighter, Jake. Great views along the way too. What’s your cam setup that does the rotating time lapse? Looks really cool.

Thanks Chris, I actually borrowed my friends DJI Pocket 2 for this trip. Just to see how it goes (bit of a camera nerd) The none removable battery is definitely a pain but apart from that I’m pretty impressed with the footage. Glad I didn’t break it lol

Really surprised by the quality of the little thing. The M50 is on shakes ground haha

@@JakeMarcin, haha, hopefully your M50 has some more service left in it yet!

Ahhhh, I was going to ask if you were using a dji pocket for the timelapse... FYI, they charge really fast on a quick charging powerbank, less than an hour if there is still a bit if charge left in it when you start recharging. The quality is really good, but getting the hang of all the functions takes a while, and the colours are a bit flat, but can be amped up in post... I just wish I didn't have to do that in editing, and could choose a more ready-to-use colour grade. Nice video Jake, interesting area too. Great to see you getting out again!
