So the thing is that some people have worked very hard on making this deck... And I must say I find this deck beautiful. Maybe it is just me but looking at the comments, you have persuaded several people not to get this deck - I hope it makes you happy. If I do not like a deck, I will definitely not make a public negative review about it because it is unethical. Maybe you could respect the hard work of others a bit more. My opinion only, of course. I personally love this deck and I understand its concept. The book is very good, the artwork is beautiful and the message of the cards is absolutely clear. This is not my go-to deck but it is a brilliant one. I am hopeful that some people among your commenters have already changed their mind.

Hey there! My intention is to never bash someone else's hard work because I do know it takes a lot of their energy and dedication to their product. While I don't use this deck, I do like some aspects of this deck. I'm always a fan of the production of a Llewellyn deck and this does live up to that. While I may have caused some viewers to not buy the deck, I'm sure some individuals have purchased this deck by watching. This video unboxing/review was me being authentic in my reaction to this deck as I pre-ordered this without seeing many of the cards. I appreciate your feedback and thank you for sharing.

There are many things I like about the deck, and I think the artwork is very good. But I can't with those Court cards. I don't understand why they would be depicted like that? I'll stick with my Dark Mansion, which I use from Samhain through Yule. Thank you so much for the flip-through, Jason!

I can get over the guidebook's sequence of the cards, but the court family is severely lacking for someone who struggles with them ;) I think the deck will be fascinating to use around November-January, so I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for watching :)

I wish they would have made the Court cards a continuous scene like a 4 card panorama. I feel like they missed a good opportunity for that. Those fours read really numerological to me. A lot of it does actually. The guidebook writ ups are good! Thanks for sharing!

A panorama might have made a difference! That was a good idea. I looked in the guidebook to see if there was an explanation, but there isn't. However, the courts are specifically interpreted as personalities and nothing more (which was the same for the Cirque Du Tarot), so I thought that was interesting. Interesting! This deck intrigues me! Lots of the artwork suprised me and makes me think about how the yuletide theme applies to each tarot meaning. The court cards are unique too and I see your concerns but they kinda stand out to me in a intentional way. I appreciate when artists make intentional unique choices like that. Hey Ryan! I get what you're saying about the Courts. I tried looking through the guidebook to see if there was an explanation, but there isn't. I enjoyed your walkthrough. This was a deck that had been on my radar as I have been looking for a Yule/Christmas deck for a very long time. Although the majors are lovely and give me sentiment vibes the minors seem very different. It’s almost like the deck is split between the magical sentiment of childhood and the reality of this time of year as an adult with cards depicting the pressures, hardship and loneliness encountered. Add to this the court cards…not much to say about those really, they seem uninspired. I doubt after seeing the whole deck that I’ll purchase it. Rather than conveying the warmth and jolly energy I think I was expecting, I found quite a depressing energy about it.

I can see the majors representing the nostalgia of the season where the minors mostly represent the hardship and stress of the season. Hmm. The deck definitely isn’t what I was expecting. Yet his opinion being different than yours is also real life, not everyone is going to like the same things and this being his channel, he has every right to share what HE likes and doesn’t. It’s ok to recommend something but then suddenly it’s blasphemous to not? Even though he only stated his opinions and cannot control what others do, buy, don’t buy. Also, you’re watching someone else review a deck based on their opinions. If you disagree, that is absolutely a real life thing, but to try and invalidate someone’s opinions because they don’t match your own is not needed-especially in this diverse community. Every channel absolutely praising every single deck/product/item is also not real life. Reviews are reviews for a reason. I have many decks that are my top fives that others didn’t connect with, and guess what? I still absolutely watch them and respect their opinions because as real life human beings, we’re entitled to have differing opinions. What is not needed is making harsh accusations about disrespecting artists work and accusing him of persuading others like he’s forcing them to not purchase something. It’s a review video-his review of a product he physically has-and if he doesn’t like a certain artwork again, that’s not disrespecting the artist, that’s just his preference. Hmmmm. Idk, might pass on this one. Not the vibe i was hoping for. I like the color pallet and book. I LOVE the Mari Lwyd card (I think it's pronounced Mary Lloyd), and the Krampus cards though!!! They're great! The death card was neat too, def A Christmas Carol vibe to it. The whole deck has a vintage Christmas story book style to it, which I do like. I think i might just stick with my Winter Waite and Winter Waite glitter edition decks for the Holiday Season. Great walk through!!! Was EXCITED to see a video pop up from you as always. It’s not a very « yuletide » deck…It feels a bit creepy at times and about the court cards… 🤫🤔 not sure I vibe with those… All in all, it’s an austere deck… I had pre-ordered it but I just cancelled it… Thanks for sharing! ☺️

After filming, I noticed that many of the cards feel cold rather than cozy and inviting. It could be the color scheme - lots of faded blues and snowy whites. And for the courts - I'm just disappointed. Thanks for watching and I'm glad to have helped your decision. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmm...I was hoping this deck would have more of a warm and cozy feeling to it. The people give off very ventriloquist dummy vibes...I dont know, it just feels very off to me. I do like the artwork asside from the people. The minor arcana feels like an afterthought as if the illistrator kind of gave up. Ill have to pass on this one and hope more options are available as a yule deck. You did a wonderful job critiquing and showing us the deck.

Thanks for sharing these. Overall, I think this deck is more troubled than festive. And I don't understand the marketing. I'd have released it at the very end of August or 1st of September to build into sales momentum for the holiday season. Some interesting ideas in the cards, but I'm not fond of all the name and suit changes, preferring standard designations. In a holiday deck, I want to see brighter colors, sparkle and ornamentation. These illustrations and their palettes and personalities seem a little bland.

Hi Robin! You said it! After sitting with it and looking at the cards more, it does seem more troubling than festive. The color scheme of the pale blues don't help it either. From a marketing standpoint, I see your point. It would do well if it was coming out later, however, because this deck is so different with the name changes and getting used to the artwork, as a reader I'd want more time to work with it before the holiday season.
