Hey Kori! One interview with Ben Parkes and you are gaining some followers! That's great!! So glad more people are getting to see and experience your channel! It's about 4:15am, Thursday June 9th, getting prepared for 8km today with my long run on Saturday being 18km. It's so hot down here in Texas that I have to get my runs in before the sun comes up and the heat really kicks in. Even running at 5am, I'm still going through 75 to 76 degrees with humidity 90%+, so I'm still soaking wet from sweat 😓 afterwards. Just wanted to say HI, so happy for your channel! Speaking of shoes, I just got some Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 shoes for $100 two weeks ago at Academy, $65 off. Working out great so far! I still need one more pair of shoes to establish a rotation. My Asics Gel Excite 8s need to be retired. I'm WAY past the limit of mileage on them. July will be a year that I started running again, and I'm looking at a total of over 520+ miles run over that time. See ya bud!! ... Endorphin Speed may be my favorite all around shoe. I wasn't a fan of the Peg Turbo 2, and never had a chance to run in V1

Not the Vaporfly?!?! LOL For me, I guess it would be Ghost 12-14. These are the shoes I started with and still train and race in.

Hahaha, yeah the vaporfly would be a bit much for daily training. The ghosts were one of my first pair of real running shoes.

@@KoriRuns Imagine running 24/7 with Vaporfly's LOL Ghosts were mine first too. They are comfortable and come in 2E! Maybe a little heavy but comfy!

Probably I'd say the Skechers Go Run Ride 7. I bought so many pairs of that shoe back in the day. It could do everything and felt great. I think at one point they were going for 20-30 bucks a pair 🤣.

100% agree. The Turbo 35's were hands down my favourite running shoe. A shoe with personality. They were super fun to run in and had a much more comfortable upper than the Turbo 2.

Hoka Clifton v1 tied with Pegasus Turbo v1 for me... sadly, those 2 shoes are not available anymore.

Hoka One One Clifton 8s. Didn't start running until I was 64 and, being sniffy about paying big money for a market brand, I kept my choice of trainer cheap and cheerful. Result? Plantar Fasciitis! It is painful. I got through a lot of ice then had a proper fitting at a proper sports' outfitter. I ended up with a pair of Clifton 4s. Even when I've looked to get something different I have tended to resort to Hokas as I can't really afford to experiment. However I did buy a pair of Asics and a pair Inov8 Mudclaws by mail order during the lockdown and have been happy with them.

Definitely a valuable lesson. Not all running shoes are cheap and not all cheap shoes are running shoes. If you're patient and look around you can find both!

I offer you two answers. My favorite running shoes are the shoes i take for today`s run. If you want to know, what shoes i would take on a island, if i had to: Hoka Huaka.......and yes of course, although they have been discontinued for many years, i still got one new pair waiting in a box for the emergency to arise. I got a few pair, i still run in from time to time. I have not gotten a Peg Turbo 1, but i got 2 pairs of Peg Turbo 2, and they are also wonderful. The best shoes i have ever run in are the Nike Vaporfly Next % V1, great shoe, but not for every day running

My favorite shoe is the Hoka Rocket X. It can do it all. Easy runs, tempo runs, races... ok maybe not trails

I would go with the Pegasus 38. It’s the shoe that keeps on going and you can run on light trails with the shoe.

I've never run in a Pegasus. I don't know why but it's always been an intimidating shoe to me for some reason. Maybe it's time I give one a shot!

@@KoriRuns since 1978 i always have one pair of Pegasus in my rotation. The Peg line is very dear to my heart. Unfortunately, for the last few years, they are not up to par. So i stick with some older models ( 33 and 34), til it gets good enough......may be the 39 is it

@@justanoldfashionedrunner605 I tried to find the newest in my size in Mexico and couldn’t find 11.5 but went to the Nike Factory store and they had 36s(all orange colored & inexpensive) and 37s (all black and $5 more). I bought a pair of 36s and fell in love with Nike shoes. Then two weeks later I bought two more pairs (the last in my size). I heard 37s and 38s were not necessarily better but that the new 39s and much more like the 36s. They are great for long runs and also for the much faster track runs

Adidas sl 20.3. Perfect desert island shoe. Fast, light, cushioned enough for longer distances, great outsold/ durability. Very underrated!
