As Phil was smashing down the closet I was screaming “get your protective eye wear on!” All it takes is one flying splinter to ruin your day and lose an eye.

I would add insulation anywhere and every where you can. To help with noise but mostly to help with your homes energy efficiency.
@marilyntyger52537 сағат бұрын
Both boys are going to remember these days and share their stories with their families. Not many children are blessed with parents like you and Phil.
@juliecoffey20526 сағат бұрын
Hi to you all! I was reading the comments and I agree that it would be a good idea to put insulation in between the boys rooms. And yes, I do get distracted easily, but in my case its usually when I'm cleaning😊😊😊 I am really enjoying seeing you guys every day.

Interior rooms insulation for heat may not be necessary, but sound insulation certainly is. We all love our peace and privacy.
@pamelamontgomery56866 сағат бұрын
If I were you (for your sanity) I would insulate the wall that was his closest. To keep the noise down between the boys rooms.

Your boys have the most awesome parents 🎉 😎 !!! Philip slegehammering the walls 😲👍. When my siblings were helping our parents pack up to move to a new home - after 50 yrs …. Omg , my folks wanted to sit and look through EVERY box and tell the story of it 😫🙄. They finally found the trick - don’t show them anything and just use good judgment on what to keep or throw away !! ( they never missed a thing 🤣 ) ❤❤❤

Love the daily videos. The dinner struggle is real, but you make that seem like the easy part. It's funny how I had 4 kids, a husband that was gone a lot and worked full time. I got it all done and did not eat out much either. We added on our home and finished areas the previous owners had not. I watch you two and the one thing I wish I had is the videos. You two got your life stories and accomplishments here. I love it. You should be proud of it all. Now take some pictures of your fabulous dinners. Those need remembering too!! 😊

Have tried throughout life few times actually to give these joyful memories for my children, unfortunately life got in the way. Filled my heart to see your sons face so excited''' life is so short. Enjoy all you can with your family while they are young. I've been subscribed to you for a long time but just created a channel to comment this week considering creating videos. Great job on your Homestead. You give me inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

We are working on our old Maine farmhouse. We knocked out the plaster walls and found zero insulation. Room by room we have been removing the plaster and lathe. Putting in insulation and drywall. Hope you are going to insulate all the outside walls. Also insulate between rooms to dampen sound and if you use a rockwool it will deter little visitors.

I have a room in my very old house that someone else started to remove the plaster also. Seaweed was used as insulation. This house was a well established boarding house in 1917, not sure when it was built. My grandson who lives with me, wants to switch rooms to that room as its bigger . I'll be taking notes as you progress 😉

Why are you not putting insulation behind the drywall of the interior walls? It helps keep the room temperature regulated, and it is a good sound barrier. Insulation is not just for exterior walls.
