too much clues in season 1...Gendry who's telling to Ned that his only memory about his mother is her yellow/golden hair...Cersei who's telling to Catelyn that her son with Robert had brown hair and she never seen him in the crypt...Cersei wanted to get married with Reagar but Mad King refused....then she got married with Robert, a man who did not love her, who was in love with Lyanna Stark...Cersei did not want to have descendants with Robert, only with Jaime...to get their children a better claim, a better Lannister claim for the iron throne... I remember when i watched s7 & 8, and it really did feel like the writers were falling "ass over teakettle" to tie up every loose thread and shoehorn all the machinations for how they decided it needed to end. Thinking "if they just hemorrhaged ALL the money and made 10 feature length films (a'la Peter Jackson's LotR) they could have given each facet the attention and gravity i felt they all needed"... but i don't run the zoo, so...

I love how basically their fear of the White Walkers invading was the very CAUSE of them being able to invade Jon needed to unite Cersei and Dany in order to have a chance at beating the dead, but in his pursuit to bring a wight back to Cersei he ends up delivering a dragon right to the Night King and thus the NK could bring down a portion of the wall

If you kill the white it defeats the whole purpose of bringing it to Cersei in the first place. She would be like “that’s literally just a dead human body you pulled out of the ground.” Why would she believe them if they told her it was alive and tried to kill them? They may as well have just dug up a regular corpse in that case. The point was that she needs to see for herself what those fellers are like when they move. 😂😂

Viserion is the dragon that died, drogon is the big black one. In got they just copied the drogon design for the other 2 dragons but in hotd they have a lot of different designs

My thought is Little Finger wants the girls to fight, so Sansa would maybe turn tohim for advice & tell her to send Arya away. So he can manipulate Sansa. He saw Arya fight/train against Brienne, and i think it may have frightened him.

Since Littlefinger pointed out that Brienne was there to protect BOTH girls, Sansa came up with a reason to get her out of there. She is playing right into his hands. He wants to create chaos. Turning Sansa and Arya against each other is a good way to do it.

Tbh, Sansa did a lot of bad things to Arya and her own house when they were younger.. Don't necessairly blame Arya. On if Dany died prematurely.. I do think Tyrion, Grey Worm and the others would carry on in hopes of dethroning Cersei and uniting the realm, on top of helping Jon out still.

the thing I don't understand is: Dragon glass, Valyrian steel, and fire all kills wights. (Dragon glass also translates to frozen fire in old valyria) But somehow an ice spear kills a dragon...which has the magic of old valyria, and is alive because of dany's blood magic. (I know they need to make the white walkers a threat but I just feel it's a tad ridiculous.)

One guy walking in front during bad visibility in snow is pretty wise, should always try aim for single file. That way if one guy falls down or steps on really wonky ankle breaking terrain, the guy behind see's them fall and can warn others. One man falling in a hole is better than three walking first side by side, that way you then have two less people out the bad situation able to help get them out. It does seem like a dumb story moving thing in the show but spaced apart a little with someone taking point is the smarter move if you can't see that far ahead.

Hehe, for as much shit as the last 2 seasons get in terms of pacing and plot and writing, I always forgave it because for the most part I just found everything pretty good. My one complaint for this episode? Where the fuck did the White Walkers get so much heavy chain to pull a dragon out of the frozen lake? Have they just been in hiding for thousands of years, slowly forging chain links for this Long Night gameplan of theirs?? I think it would have been far more plausible if they just had a bunch of heavy rope. Rope, they could have scrounged from like the Wildling camps, thats easier to explain away. But heavy chain, where each link looks to be about 30lbs easily?? The logistics of not only making that much chain but also carrying it around bring to this lake is ridiculous! haha

Dragons name, who was killed is Viserion. The yellow one. The dragon skin coloring in this season is lame, too much shades of grey. In season 8 dragons will be easily recognisible by their colors.

No offense but its so annoying when reactors, several years late to the party, want to question people who critiqued finale season/s and the ending. Many of us literally spent 7+ years watching this series so we can tell the obvious difference between seasons - because we were there from the start, not bingeing it few years late. We had to wait years between seasons. And they always seem to say the same thing mid-season, about "not getting why people say it's rushed" or "not understanding why people were upset with the last season". But when they finally get to the last couple episodes, they get it and look like idiots because those episodes are glaring, in terms of audience dissatisfaction. So pass it on. People need to finish the damn series to actually understand why audiences weren't happy with the ending and why it's rushed. You can't determine it mid damn season and also when you are bingeing, latecomers to a decade long series, it's incomparable.

You two ever wonder where they found those modern battleship anchor chains to drag the dead dragon? Just happened to be lying around. Note: Dani stays at Dragonstone in S7 which is close to King's Landing and is almost 1500 miles from Winterfell which is about 600 miles from the wall and who knows how far Jon was past the wall is in this episode. She hop-skips-up to Jon in like overnight to rescue him? Teleportation, I think. One of many points rushing thru the season to its end. HBO was prepared to continue for another 2-3 seasons, possibly more. The show runners wanted to finish the show so they could get to their next deal w/ Disney which never even happened.

The thing with Daenarys is that she is naive. She don't go about doing things the right way. She tends to let her feelings control her judgement at times which is why I don't think she would be fit to be Queen. She is a conqueror not a ruler. She couldn't even keep the people of Mereen happy. It will be hard to get the hardened people of Westeros loving her especially after what happened with the last known Targaryen King. Daenarys has 3 Dragons that's all there is left in the world and they aren't invincible as she might think they are. They can be killed. If it weren't for them she wouldn't be where she is right now. She most likely would be dead. She should be protecting them at all cost using them in smart strategic way not sporadically in fear. Taking those dragons to encounter the Night King is too risky and in-fact may have just gave them an equalizer to get past the wall. Not going or helping Jon and the others may would have kept the army of dead and the Night King beyond the wall. Sure they would have died.Tyran was right it's a risk not to take. I think there was a reason why the Night King didn't attack the Night's watch. I think the Night King new a little about the future and things to come and he was just waiting for time for things to unfold. It's part of the prophecy that Aegon the Conqueror saw in his dream a song of Ice and Fire and Daenarys and Jon have a part to play in that prophecy. No matter how some of us might have perceived the things that have taken place or would have done things differently everything happened for a reason it's all part of that prophecy and the events taking place is unavoidable.

Like people act like this is the only season it's done in, when in all reality pretty much all seasons have stuff like that. Do we really need to see Ollie or Gendry run all the way there? Probably not. Which is why it's not shown. Honestly they probably showed Gendry running too much. =/

@@abcdefg2174 Without hinting toward anything (which was not my intent), I never saw Sansa being dumb in this episode. I always thought the reason she sent Brienne away was to protect her. Baelish made a point of telling Sansa that if Arya came after Sansa, Brienne would have no choice but to protect her. By sending Brienne away, she was trying to prevent a deadly confrontation between Brienne and Arya. None of this is confirmed in a future episode, so it's not a spoiler.
