Holidays of Future Passed is such a great stab at a finale. I hope they do another Simpsons movie (or a final series) set over a long period of time, kind of like “Barthood”. Although most of us have long stopped watching new episodes, I think people will tune in once more if they truly knew it was ending for good.

Love the "Future" episodes, they are some of my favourites and most creative in the modern era. Some great ideas!

We loved you Simpsons. R.I.P.. 1989-2024 We'll never forget you. Jokes asides i started to wonder how The Simpsons would end. I saw comments on other videos suggesting that the series finale should be a whole season, with each episode focusing on a famous character wrapping up in springfield, and the final episode of the series(which would be a 1-2 hour episode) or a movie focusing on the simpsons family. That should be a clever way to end the series with a big bang. But for now, thank goidness the simpsons are still alive and going strong!!! Long live The Simpsons!

For a show I don't watch anymore, it's oddly a comfort to know it's still going? Haha. I love the idea about the show being on a loop, and how the last episode should be the family driving to the school just before Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire begins.

Apparently, if the ratings do not improve from Season 36, then it will likely be cancelled. It is a shame the UK is behind the US.

I love the Simpsons. I have since I was a kid in the 1980's. Heck it, King of the Hill and American Dad are basically the only reason we have Disney+ HOWEVER. I have not watched the Simpsons religiously for decades. I was basically done after that terrible movie. So cancel the Simpsons DisneyFOX as who really finds it fresh, fun or interesting. Its so meh that when I had co-vid dor 2 weeks in 2021 I actually caught up to the end at the time and was like... meh.

Like me, you have an incomplete DVD collection of The Simpsons. It is a shame they stopped at 19. Even though 20 got released in 2010. I own 1-20 on DVD. I was hoping for a blu ray release, once it officially ends. Highly unlikely!!

As for me, the episode felt...weird. If I were cynical, I'd say it was nothing but fanservice and nostalgia baiting. But regardless, it was cool to see all these references and the crew poking fun at Fox.

OK went and watched this episode and returned and it was literally the same garbage I expect from modern day simpsons. It was absolute rubbish and terrible.

5:36 at least she’s trying to do the voice, Mr burns sounds nothing like he did 10 years ago and sounds like a old man. Apparently Harry shearer doesn’t even do it for the fun of it and just for the money. Sad.

That is a shame! Sad about Harry Shearer, but I do admire Julie Kavner for continuing after all these years! It's just sad to hear voiceover icons age. But, that's the cruelty of life. Appreciate you tuning in! :)

I thought this episode was really good and I thoroughly appreciated the attention to detail and hidden little things throught the scenes but don't be fooled, the majority of other new Simpsons episodes remain lazy, uninspired, generic and like TV to turn your brain off to, not often something worth watching, at least in my opinion. Also dislike how political it can get sometimes, ends up making too many low hanging fruit jokes or inane plot lines that might appease the lowest common denominator but not much else, I would guess it's probably due to Al Jean being very lenient towards the left and discussion of these boring topics in general. I remember when I was collecting The Simpsons on DVD and Blu Ray and wishing they would have released more seasons but in hindsight, after re-watching every episode of the first 30 seasons (I couldn't bare going any further) I felt a sense of relief that they got what I consider to be the best seasons on physical, 1-20 are what I would say are really worth watching, even though 10-20 aren't really golden age, I think they can still be considered "silver" age. Love the more edgy jokes on Seasons 10 to around 14 or 15 really much.

@@GTARanger1992 I wouldn't count on it. Also, how much would they even ask for something like that if it was all seasons in a single box? They already asked 500usd for Seasons 1-20 boxset a couple years ago which was insane.

@@ParanoidThalyyMVS They could just split into Volumed sets like south park has theirs with seasons 1-10 and then 11-20 or just put it in one big set like Gunsmoke or Futurama Gunsmoke has 20 seasons and it's going for 170$ at Walmart
