The Gee outfits are by far their most iconic look in terms of how well known it is, since that song not only launched them into the kpop stratosphere, but also reached a lot of people who don't necessarily follow kpop - and it became such a kpop classic that has been referenced in every introduction-to-kpop news report etc. ever since. But personally for me, and probably also just in general among people who are into kpop, I think the Genie outfits are the most iconic. For one thing, the Japanese version of Genie (with updated looks within the same style) was their first introduction to the huge Japanese market, and you also see echoes of the Genie looks in so many of their other concepts. And GG are obviously famous for their legs, and Genie is essentially Leg City. But more importantly, Genie is such a versatile track, which lends itself so well to remixes. It's such a bomb BIG REVEAL song, so they have used it as the first song on so many different concerts/tours/performances, and obviously then the Genie concept is how you first meet them and how they look for several more songs, so it just sticks in your brain.

You should definitely watch their Genie Performance in Madison Square Garden. Tiffany's rap was so lit! And their last japanese release with Jessica, Divine. It's so heartbreaking, like you can feel their emotions. Every comeback, their outfits are so great. But there's one Japanese release that they had this royalty sort of outfits.
