It always boggles my mind why they even released the first chapter, it was supposed to show people what the game in future chapters would look like and be about but it's so void of any personality, unique concepts and the story is missing so many things that would make a game and story like this interesting. Of course the story was always gonna be fleshed out in future chapters of the game but the developers simply didn't hook anyone in with this. The second chapter is a big improvement simply off the fact it wasn't literally an empty husk and had something to it. The reason the game got popular is because of ironic enjoyment and people making fun of it. UhYeah (A contect creator) thought the game looked ridicilous and made a ton of tweets mocking it starting a whole trend called "Bird Up". The critiques were kinda mean spirited especially since most of them were made before he even watched videos about it or played it so the creators blocked him on the Twitter. A bunch of people started a whole # (Honestly I'm probably forgetting some shit) but in the end the mocking and the #'s spread the word around so much that the game actually gained an audience. Over time they pivoted more towards being ironic with the games and kinda lost a lot of the audience it had gained. They've slowed down the releases considerably seeing as they released the first 3 chapters within 4 months of eachother.
