Well Brandon, it has both positive and negative. You are correct, it will bring the greedy people that will just destroy to find a bottle, the trolls will get way worse and the more people looking means you will find less. The decision is yours and I wish nothing but success for you and your channel. I enjoy the down home family friendly channel you give us!✌️🖖🤘😁

Thankfully I trust my skill set as most of my areas are plundered weekly by other hunters. I think regardless of how many new people show up there is always more to be found it just takes more leg work!

It is the people who are overpriced common bottles and ripping new collectors that are the problem. They drive newbies away and give the sport and all of us a bad name. I hate con artists & thiefs.

Hey Brandon. Much of the same things that motivates and drives you to share and grow your channel is a motivater that is equally desired by others. It is true, you can not control what others do, but make no mistake, the exposure of locations will absolutly change the game and those locations will most likely be pilfered and plundered. You dont owe anyone anything. If you can do it without location exposure, that would be your best bet. You have only to look back on history to understand much of human nature. Your gut instincts are almost always right. Bottom line is this, understand the potential consequences clearly, then make a choice. love your show. Good luck!..

Brandon - I have a friend who explores abandoned mines, shoots video of his explorations, and puts his videos up on KZbin. When he was just starting, he spent a Summer collaborating with a friend, a mine explorer from Canada. His channel grew tremendouly. That was not what is important, though. What is important is those two guys produced some truly fantastic videos! They brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people. My friend's channel grew from 1K subs to 125K + subs in a little over a year. You're a young man. You'e got a hobby you really love. I say "Go For It!" You will expose a lot of people to a fun and interesting hobby. While doing so, a lot of nice bottles will be found that might not otherwise have been found. Yes, some scumbags will get involved in bottle hunting. You have already seen that. But isn't that true in every part of life? Stay strong, shun the scumbags, and have fun! Follow you're dream!

Go with your gut, Brandon...but keep your "pepto bismol" handy! Don't let the big channel glamour blind you cause even apparently nice guys can screw over you...you're on your way to 40k subs, you're on the way yourself! People like your channel for who YOU are! 👍🇺🇸

If its a reputable channel go for it. The history does not need to be lost. I was born in the 60s and just telling my children and grandchildren stories of my lifetime and the changes I have seen over the years, fascinates them. When I tell about my mom's time of 1920s and the great depression, they are really intrigued. History is lost unless we pass the information down to the next generation. God bless

If you decide to collaborate - perhaps you can emphasize : the history, the joys of the hobby, etc. and downplay the monetary aspects (not a get rich quick prospect). And, if the channel - you're considering working with - agrees to this format - it could be a win/win.

Think positive about it, and think how many more will learn the right way to bottle search from a pro. Brandon, I think you also need to bear in mind that it will not only possibly increase your competition, as well as people following your channel to track where you're going; but there are so many unscrupulous people out there, that I worry about people tearing up the environment trying to find where they "think" these rare, valuable bottles might be. I would have serious concerns about not only the impact on the hobby, but the impact on the environment as well.

I believe that most people are good and well respect the places they are hoping to explore! My father always asked the neighborhood farmers if we could go horse riding through their orchards! Of course there were people who rode their atv's through the orchards and made a mess of the roads and trails! But the farmers always let us ride! I think you should try this collaborative effort and if it's not for you then you can respectfully separate because you are a very honest person and are respectful in your own right! I don't know if he would be interested but maybe, I watch Jake from DALLMYD videos and he has been with Wild Kyle before so maybe introducing Jake to this would be cool to watch! I have watched your videos foe awhile now and they are pretty awesome and the knowledge is great! Thanks for sharing!

I understand why you may not want to do the collab, with the fear of making bottle hunting more mainstream , but if you say no, this other youtuber may just pick someone else, that may not have, the same respect that you have, for this hobby. Either way at the end of all this, you're going to have more people getting into this hobby, I would prefer this be done the right way, over the wrong way.
