Idk if it was a terrible idea but I used an extension and the power steering to push the hub out. Got about 80k miles since i did the bearings, so far so good. Easier than beating on it with a hammer

Naw its a great idea, the terrible part is if you have cheap extensions they can get tweaked.. but that's what cheap tools are for.

Put a socket behind the u joint against the axle tube and turn the wheel. Pushes the bearing right out

You can use your power steering to push the wheel bearing out, leav the bolt in the hub about half way then put an extension and socket on the bolt head and turn your wheel against the axle. Do it on easy side

I bought my truck from Ridley 3 years ago and luckily I didn’t have a bad experience. They do seem to have a shit reputation and cover up some things which I was unaware of at the time and learned since. Mine is a one owner Texas truck with zero rust and has been great so far.

You don’t need a specific tools for the wheel bearing. Just buy a cheap 1/2 extension and a shallow socket. That’s how we did it when I worked for a dodge dealership

It’s not a wheel bearing…that’s the 3rd gen auto adjustment to defects and imperfections in Tennessee roads. Use FlexSeal for the bearing and FlexTape to secure it. Send it! 😂
