I completely agree. And it makes me mad that Bethel Music's cover of "King of my heart" is what's sung in churches today instead of Kutless' version, which is superior in all ways.

Still listen to this album, my youth pastor gave me and their music is so positive with the truth of God's words We're slave to our own thinking but when we become a serve to God we free ourselves from controling others or ourselves.

flavio marquis but their new album has a song on it that has yelling or screaming like a thrash metal band would;and this is not of God;But of Satan. Satan does appear to us as an angel of light.
@legodudelol9a7 жыл бұрын
That's not entirely true, yes screamo was originally developed by secular bands, but Kutless and other Christian bands have taken it to use it as a tool to reach out to fans of screamo.
@jaybetalero38825 жыл бұрын
@@JesseLReyna and just because it has scream part doesnt mean it has to be from the devil. Yes satan may disguise as an angel of light and also thru seemingly good sounds but has empty or misleading content/lyrics of the song.

Choose your slave master in all wisdom because you WILL be bound by something. Be bound to Christ. Die that you will live.
@nightwolf1374 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It's literally impossible to be our own masters, even though we desperately want to be. If you think you're creating your own path through life, look closer, and you'll see just how much sin is influencing your thoughts and decisions. Anyways, Love is the answer. Don't resist evil being done to you.

Here is a fantastic music video that the Christian world will love! It's called "Don't forget about the walk." It was written and created by a small town pastor that is also making a feature film and has written four books. You don't want to miss it! You can go to his website by going to alanmakimusicDOTcom or search for Alan Maki on youtube. It would only take a second to look and I promise you wouldn't be let down. Look him up! He has wonderful devotionals and an app too!

Good song musically with a hard drive and a good melody but the lyrical theme is awful imo. The concept of aspiring to be a slave or not much more than that really isn't a great concept for a human to hold to.

careful..first sounds seem pleasing to the ears..but you have to be more concerned about God's holy ears. Would Jesus sing or play This in a place of worship? Approach music by this method and by continuing prayer and bible reading..God knows what's best for us friends.
@josiahyancy89627 жыл бұрын
Worship music does not have to be a specific genre. The only reason so much worship artists sound the opposite of this is because Christians created this box where nothing gets in or out. Just because a band or artist doesn't sound like hillsong, bethel, or whatever mainstream Christian artists, doesn't mean it isn't worship music. If you feel like you connect to god while listen to a certain genre, than who is to say that that's not worship? Regardless of what genre of music you like, if the band is Christian ( at least for the most part ) and you connect to god through there music, it's worship

Josiah Yancy music has to be edifying to God and not ourselves. if we are doing something to magnify or exalt ourselves..it is no longer for God,But for ourselves.
@JesseLReyna7 жыл бұрын
Josiah Yancy you stated a band does not have to be a certain gener of music;but if it is christian...ect. So my question to you know that it's christian friend? I wanna have peace tonight knowing that you are aware of what a christian artist saved by God's grace and faith is?
@josiahyancy89627 жыл бұрын
+Jesse L. Reyna if you've read their lyrics then you should know that they're Christian. No music does not have to just glorify god. It's ok to actually enjoy music both Christian and secular ( that's between you and god ). Because I listen to both Christian and secular music, I know the difference between the too. If you don't want to understand any of this, then don't try to. I'll just let this be me last response. You're probably just going to hear what you want to hear.
@josiahyancy89627 жыл бұрын
+Josiah Yancy last comment I promise haha. How do you know what type of music pleases god? I think you think that god only likes what you like.
