Girl, that's the recipe I've been using for years. It's from Paula Dean. I don't use the chess man cookies either. I just use Nilla Wafers like traditional banana pudding. It's my favorite recipe!! So good!!!!

Recipe calls for 12 oz. Cool whip, not 16 oz. So just one and a half small tubs

Banana pudding has always been my favorite pudding. I used to eat the drops left in my kids baby food jar! 😆. I will check out Stephanie's recipe too. I have watched her since her kids were little. I remember when she went live and you would hear the train whistle blowing in their background. We would all copy the train! Here it comes...beep beep!😂 She is fun. Love seeing Gracie now joking around with her Mama. That recipe looks so darn good. I need some. Big Hugs and Love. 😍😗🤗

Oh yeah!!!! 👏. I make the same banana pudding however, our Walmart most generally always has those chessmen cookies by Pepperidge Farm , so that’s what I use , calls for two packs of them. One to layer the bottom, the other to layer the top. . One of my sisters gave me this recipe during a family event , it was so awesome that I had to get her recipe , and it’s exactly this one! 👍😁. and it is the best! once you make this banana pudding (or my opinion anyways) there’s no turning back to just that regular one with the Nilla wafers . I don’t make it that way anymore plus there’s those other ingredients in this one that’s not in the one from years ago. But I’m sure the Oreos with that filling inside the Oreo cookie is going to send it over the top as well! So folks watching Amy make this b.p.recipe, do try it! Now my sister’s recipe only called for the regular sized cool whip. (Not the large size). Does it matter? Hummm not sure. But I stick with the regular size, I’ve made it several times & it’s phenomenal! Amy you & Steph are my all time faves to watch on you tube, plus Tammy Nichols ( Collard Valley Cooks, where we cook like our momma’s did!). She was my 1st to watch actually. But you three always have the Lord lifted up in y’all’s channels & that matters & makes it all the more reason & enjoyable to watch & follow y’all! 🙌. I’m the one who signs off referring to myself as “ Momma Deb”. 😉🥰. I’m 68 & can be y’all’s momma figure. Lol. Not to say I’d replace y’all’s mother’s, of course not by all means! Mothers can’t be replaced. (I’m like “ a 2nd momma per say) lol. Anyways, big fan of all 3 of you, & been watching awhile now! I too would love the day or weekend together. I actually am in Stephanie’s hometown on some trips I take from my home here in Indiana, to my hometown in Harriman Tennessee. One day I will meet up with her I know God will work that out! ☝️👏👏❤️. Hey Amy ! yes, respectfully sharing, ok? not to be one of those “ critical viewers”, I promise, lol but your regular sized Cool Whip whipped topping whichever one , is sufficient, & won’t run over. And I’m sure it doesn’t matter about this but after I’ve done the cream cheese and condensed milk then the Cool Whip gets folded in the banana pudding mix the vanilla pudding mix that’s where I fold in the Cool Whip and then it gets mixed in with the rest but that probably isn’t that big of a deal mainly I’m just sharing the regular sized container of Cool Whip is the one to use the large is a little much! But to each their own right? Lol. 👍😁. I was just sharing that if you make it again you’ll notice getting the regular sized Cool Whip is perfectly fine and really best , “respectfully saying”. 😉💋. Thanks for the tips! I love it! Also I think 1 cool whip and only half a can of Sweetened Condensed Milk. But I am sticking to the Oreo Thins...those were so good!! I think I should make a chocolate version with chocolate pudding and chocolate Oreo Thins....keep the bananas....I bet that would be good!!

Looks like you used a 16 ounce of cool whip instead of 12 ounce. Thats why you had alot left over.
