In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the SU27 Flanker trying something against HardLogic in the F15 Eagle (Thank you for the help buddy). There is for sure something there. Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Problem is, you really can’t notch two radars at once unless you are very, very slow. Often times when I fire on a low target with an AMRAAM, I will break away from it and come in from a different angle while maintaining the track/lock. If the AMRAAM gets notched, my own radar will guide it in. If my radar gets notched, the AMRAAM will take over. Works at least 90% of the time I would say.

There actually is a valid notching tactic with the MIG-29 and SU-27 where you get really slow above the ground and constantly hold the 90° notch until the bandit is really close. Then you suddenly recommit and surprise the bandit. You need to get really slow with speed brakes etc and perfectly hold the 90°. But the bandit cannot lock and shoot at you at all if you do it right.

This is a different style of playing than usual BVR fights! The idea of getting close and shooting fox2 from beneath the enemy is great 👍.

Hey Longshot!, Rags. 😎👊 Similar process to iron hand in the Navy. USAF while weasel NATO sead. Most part preaching to the choir. The missiles are trying to intercept you. It was an awesome video. It's exactly what I do when I run iron hand taking down Sam sites. Even with an SA10 man. Those same sites are horrible. I have to keep them busy while I'm trying to take out the radar installations. It does work. It's a very aggressive maneuver but as I watched you fly you were more less swerving rather than going 90 to 180 90 to 180 continuously. I got to give the same site or the aircraft a couple of seconds so he'll take a shot. This way he'll waste and if it's a same site. Then at that point after the first couple have missed they're going to send up 7 to 10 of them and more and more as they miss. Exactly what you did. More or less 40° to 40°. I've always done 90° and back across the section again in a total 180°. Getting away to keep the other missiles tracking me for a very short time so they know I'm still there and wasting their Sam's or the aircraft wasting his missiles. This way he knows I'm still alive then it'll get to the point where we're on sidewinders which are not interceptors most. They will mostly track the heat source by flir or otherwise. Interesting tactic. It seems that the radar in F15 are just to good. And its hard to catch him offset. The overload made you loose saw,i guess when he kept puching.

I'm kind of curious about an idea that I had. A combined action with an F-15C or EX, and an F-22 vs. four or six Su-27 variants. The "tactic" for the F-15 and Raptor is that they fly is close vertical formation, with the F-22 on top. When the Sukhois detect them, the Raptor goes up and the Eagle drops to the deck. This is one of the tactics they used in the Tom Clancy novel where the US and Japan get into a war, I think it was "Dept of Honor" or the prequel.

A good counter tactic for F15 would be switching off the radar for 5-10 seconds, then switch it back on, shoot aim120 (or not), guide for 5-10 seconds and go radar off again. And do like that till 15-20 nm, then push full. This way the flanker can't constantly monitor f15 location and notch, and also can't understand when amraam was shot or not. These radar tricks cause a lot of confusion in BVR. People can think rwr is clean because the bandit is cold, when in fact the radar was just off and the distance is closing fast, especially when the opponent is flanking and can't see with his own radar.

The weakness of this tactic is that you lose situational awareness right when the F15 has you merged.

Back to WW2 - never fly straight and level for more than 30 seconds and always check your six. Zigzag course cannot do much for fuel economy though.

You have to fight the enemy where your missiles have the advantage: high and fast. Take 2 ECM, 2 R-27ER, and 2 R-27ET (obviously you can take 4 ER if you prefer). Then proceed to go very high at Mach 2 woth ECM on all the time (the enemy will see you but at least can't lof AMRAAMS) and manually loft R-27ERs that can easily reach speeds of Mach 5

In these fights when the f15 was coming at you, high altitude, supersonic, in afterburner, and you're on the deck, not sending anything, I was thinking - the F15 has so much more energy, I don't know if this notch to merge thing is going to work...
