It's mounted on a tripod with a swing arm on it and he knapps the piece looking through the screen of the camera. It is directly in front of him.

When you are pressure knapping, are you hitting the ridges and skipping the valleys to bring up your centerline?

If the edges are high enough yes, but if it’s a valley and still below centerline I’ll just press down instead of in
