This guy that isn't Demi has been saying "Don't chase the survivor that wants to be chased" for years. Genuinely good advice. 9/10 times, if I ignore that occasional survivor that's annoying me for attention, I get at least a 3k. It's okay to let that one be the one you might lose because a 3k is considered a win in most cases anyway.
@ritualising Жыл бұрын
W! I always go by that rule. I consider 1-2k loss 3k draw and 4k a win

I remember when I started learning Blight I had a general philosophy I liked to employ. It's not about getting the 4k, it's about getting better. And I would intentionally seek out the p100s, the juicers, the clickers, and chase them all game. There's not much to learn from chases the default Dwight around a z-tile.
@kevingrisler4123 Жыл бұрын
Another reason you should sometimes know when to quit a chase is because after a minute, their brain enters what I call Chase Mode. They're entirely focused on looping and getting to the next pallet. If you leave them, their brain has to shift gears and decide what to do next. Their blood pressure starts to come down and they relax, while someone else who is relaxed has to suddenly fight for their life. Pay attention and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Usually i dont commit but loud noise notif spam is the worst and i dont mind losing a game to stop people from destroying my ears, so yesterday I did commit to a Kate that really wanted me to chase her. Thing is, I was playing Vecna with Weave Attunement + Franklins and a teammate had happened to loop me in that spot prior. I hit her with Flight of the Damned through a wall then m1d her when she tried to sneakily leave the loop. I picked her up, and suddenly despite everyone having less than 100 ping I couldn’t hook her and got dcd. You can probably guess where this is going: she DDoS’d me for actually chasing her when she wanted to be chased. I will never understand people that do that.

re: Not chasing the Survivors that want to be chased. My version of the rule is "If a Survivor is trying to get your attention, do not give it to them."
@Diresilence Жыл бұрын
It really depends. Overcommitting will throw the game, but you don't get better by going after the weaker survivors. If you're more interested in trying to perfect mind games and dealing with loops, it's not a bad idea to chase the better runner. That said, this comes "With a but", namely that you're going to lose games doing this. If you want to win, constantly trying to find the weak link is the go to, especially as in solo q there's at least one or two people in almost every game that play by being super immersed and refuse to take chase unless it's put on them, and will just comp drop every pallet while not looking back. If you want to learn to deal with sweat squads, finding stronger runners and learning to deal with their tactics is the better option. That said, advice on Sadako is to play her as a hit and run killer, and teleport around. Be weird and unexpected. You'll win more games by surprise hits and forcing people to deal with corruption or die than committing to long chases. Unless you can get a condemn out of it, it isn't worth it
@dumblenutz5561 Жыл бұрын
Most M1 Killers are like that. They are no good at long, drawn out chases. Your best bet is settling for a hit or pallet drop then leaving to pressure gens. Eventually, if you play your cards right, there'l be no pallets left and the survivors start losing the game.
