Samsung Galaxy Note 4 random crashes and stuck in reboot loop. Turned out to be a battery problem. Both Galaxy Note 4 phones are a year old and the batteries are also a year old. These units have not been rooted. Seems like the battery shows a full charge but then as soon as it drops around the 50% mark the phone will crash.
I thought the problem was a bad app or a motherboard issue. I tried a factory reset and cleared the cache. Nothing seemed to work. I never thought the battery would cause this issue as it charges no problem and does not heat up. The battery shows no sign of damage ie. warped or bulging. Seems like the batteries will wear out after a year or heavy use.
This problem could happen with other phones and manufacturers also. I'm glad this phone has a replaceable battery. I want to get a new phone but most of them do not have a removable battery and that means the phone would have to go in for service or be replaced which is quite costly.
Hopefully this video has helped some of you and has saved you some time and money.
** UPDATE: Battery problem started getting worse and the phone started the reboot process at the 70% mark. **
