yuh some people say it last em 3hrs max. but the specs offer 12 hr continuous use. try charging it for long periods.

no, but the keyboard case offer a pen holder, detachable pen holder. if interested online shops offer magnetic bands for pens. of which you can now stick to either the top or sides of your tablet, for this unit have 4 magnets.
