ইলেকশানের একটা মিটিং -এর সময় দেখেছিলাম কেন্দ্রীয় পর্যবেক্ষকের সাথে চার/পাঁচজন বিডিও সাহেব কেউই কথা বলতে পারছিলেন না। একজন বিডিও সাহেব মোটামুটি কথা বলতে পারছিলেন। অথচ ঐ বিডিও সাহেবরা সবাই ভালো ইংরেজি জানেন। অত্যন্ত মেধাবীও। কিন্তু ইংরেজিতে কথা বলতে পারেন না। কাজেই বাংলা মিডিয়ামের স্কুলগুলোতে ইংরেজির উপর ভাল রকম জোর দেওয়া হোক।

Thanks for giving such a content. I have completed my secondary and higher secondary education from bengali mediam school but graduation in english hons. But I am focusing on UPSC and also WBSC exam. If I can clear WBCS exam, I will opt bengali to communicate with the interviewers because it is so suitable for me than english.

Apart from Public dealing, government norms ,orders nd regulations all are written in English, so psc wants such candidates who atleast know that level of English. Just suppose if any circular or order in English , comes before you and your English is not upto that mark, that you could comprehend comprehensively, then it would be embarrassing for that officer too, Where he or she could not ask with his junior who is good on that by shame. Am i not opposing any other language but wants to clarify that at least we all should know English upto common understanding level.
