Hi mat can i decouple the button? can i add sensor? can i add rules to when the zigbee network is down? the reason we flash it so we can program the device to be smart even when the network is down for any reason i think saying there is no need to flash is for some scenarios if you are flashing only to avoid the cloud , so yes you can definitely go stock zigbee

There is indeed a need to flash it.. at least, if I still can't switch the power on state.. I have 22 Sonoff Basics R2 (Tasmota flashed) in my house and I also use them with regular light switches (buttons) and Tasmota PowerOnState 2 - when I hit the button when the light is off, it turns on and vice versa. So every short break in the mains result in the opposite status off > button press (mains are cut fir a second) > sonoff on .. on > button > off .. This is (unfortunately) a necessity as our Parents are babysitting our kids every now and then and they don't want to study all the device names / groups / rooms when they are here 🤣 So I wonder if I have to consider something special when flashing Tasmota and if I still can access via WebGui etc. (I've bought one for a test and would replace every of my sonoffs with the Zigbee edition - as they have a lower power consumption and in my experience they are working more reliable) And another thing: does it function as router or just as and device?

To my knowledge the chip supports payload routing but I have not tested it this way. As per your question - you should have the same options available as on other tasmota devices. It's how you handle the power loss - i suggest you resolve this in your server. On sever reboot, restore known values, and if value for some reason isn't saved, assign default "off" behaviour. Make sure to set persistent variables

Can you tell me the standby power consumption of this zigbee device?

I won't be able to until January as I'm away for holiday ping me then to make sure I remember.

0.2W off and 0.9W on - this same like the WiFi basic: hejdom.pl/blog/12-sonoff/128-sonoff-basic-r3-diy-zigbee.html

Its working line Zifbee radio/signal expander (like others zigbee devices)?
@notenoughtech5 жыл бұрын
That's in the spec sheet of the chip.. but I was not checking for that's specifically if I'm honest

will this one act as a zigbee hub? (I've just acquired a bunch of Aqara sensors and hit device limits on the CC2531 stick)
@notenoughtech4 жыл бұрын
Not as hub but as a router

@@notenoughtech thanks. I'll look at grabbing some to supplement the ~20 R3 wifis I have

FYI, SuperHouse also has a very good video here where he goes through Sonoff BasicZBR3 Zigbee PCB: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3fae3SHe9OXe9E He quickly figures out its connections/pins with a multimeter and data sheet using a microscope.
