Thank you so much for stopping by-and for the kind words! Evening Reader is the absolute best, and I’m so grateful for their shout-out. I’m thrilled to have you here and can’t wait to chat more about books. What are you currently reading?

I always sort of pair you with the channel Book Chat With Pat. You both arrived and had the hardest part down -- which is speaking to an audience in a natural way and managing the shifts to bigger or more performative without it feeling artificial. The computery technical stuff can be dealt with some prodding and searching. I don't have (or want) a channel but I have theories. In terms of shorts maybe try some cross-pollination? There is a new mystery/thriller called Pony Confidential by by Christina Lynch about a pony trying to solve a murder. I could get into the structural issues I had with the book but -- crime solving pony. It's kind of a buzzy book in that it was featured on the front page of Amazon and got an NPR mention. When I looked it up on YT I got My Little Pony and real pony content. So could a short work in the opposite way? People who watch pony and horse content get offered your short. Just a thought.

Sorry for the late reply-end-of-semester chaos has been real and unrelenting, but your thoughtful comment made my day. And hey, can someone let my therapist know I accepted a compliment without deflecting? Progress! As for Pony Confidential-I’ve seen it around, and “murder-solving pony” has officially pushed it to the top of my list. What a premise! My Brony-leaning heart can’t resist. I’ve been toying with cross-pollination ideas for Shorts too-it’s definitely a process, but I love that we’re on the same wavelength. Great minds, right?
