That's a good idea! Maybe not teaching french because there are french subscribers (i am one of them btw) but maybe talking a little more about the language itself: the main differences between french and english, ... How about a video about what it's like to live in your own country again, and the things you notice now that you have lived in another country?

Well, I hope you will keep going and introduce "us" to New Zealand - no clue as to what life is like there! (And, you can still do some holiday content, too, from/in/with France.) No matter where your journey leads you, it's nice to follow along to see how the chapters in your life evolve. Even if you moved to an ice float in Antarctica, I'd still tune in to see how you were getting along there!

I think you can start with videos on what you miss about France and the reverse culture shock. You could also give us insight into your reintegration process and how your sojourn in France has caused you to see things differently. Then gradually, I think as you ease into this new phase of life, your new experiences will make for good and really interesting content. Change is the only constant thing and it's perfectly natural to be overwhelmed by it for a while. After some time, we adapt and it's our choice to creatively make the best of every phase of life we find ourselves. Looking forward to watching you grow here, Rosie. Cheers!

1. Your homesickness is almost tangible *hugs* your way 2. French culture was how I found you, but your personality is why I kept coming. 3. You are very intelligent, and emotionally perceptive, which is why you excelled with Not even French 4. You have declared yourself bicultural from the start, and you might take for granted your insights to New Zealand culture. Just yesterday I was reading that New Zealand is pretty popular for International Exchange students. All that being said, I'm sure you will reinvent your channel. I want to say something like dustin luke's, an argentinian american youtuber. Definitely look at other youtubers to get some inspiration. And as long as your content is insightful and you keep the optimization you already know, I'm sure you will continue to grow. KZbin reaches a huge audience, the potential is there. Best of luck!
@LauraMorland

I agree with +Jenny Lee. " French culture was how I found you, but your personality is why I kept coming." I've lived in Paris for much, much, longer than you, Rosie (we moved here from California in 2000), but nevertheless yours is the only KZbin channel I watch consistently. There are even KZbinrs whom I "patreonize" -- and you used to be one of them before you dropped the platform -- whose videos I watch less frequently than yours. You're the best! And it's not just your personality, Rosie: it's your intelligence, and the fruit of your research that keeps me coming back. I may have spent more years here, but I learned a great number of facts on your channel I didn't know before. I'm sure you'll apply that same professionalism to *whatever* subject matter you tackle in future.

Hi dear, how amazing! Embrace this change... you can keep your youtube channel the same, since it still applies since your married a french man, and you will keep your connection with france/french stuff. Now you can add new zealand vlogs so still "not even french" but actually even better. 😘 so I would continue on the same road, capitalizing on your experience, your french husband and your holidays there. Just add some new zealand in the mix and see how this goes, and from there check if anything needs to change.

@@NotEvenFrench ur welcom, and im very curious as I think many others as well, about what life in New zealand is like. This is actually only an improvement of your channel. And dont feel weird about authenticity because of not being based in france anymore, because 1) jou have been for 6 years 2) you keep your connection through husband, experience, holidays and 3) your channels name is perfect, for if anyone would ever think it would be strange to have french topics (which I dont think at all, since your history/experience explains it well), it will be perfectly explained by your channels name: "not even french" so its kinda funny and perfect actually!

I've been following every video that you posted because the content was funny, really interesting and I learned a lot about New Zealand (and also about us, French people haha) but also about living as an expatriate in a different country, and how to deal with cultural differences etc. Now that I am back in France for one month, I still watch your videos you posted before because I love them! And I think that of course you still are totally legitimate to speak about France and share your experience, your tips, your reactions because France was and is still part of your life, and even far away from France you can still -- maybe in a different way that you did before -- make us laugh, learn, think etc, so please stay on KZbin! Absolutely continue! Flexibility is part of the true French joie de vivre, the art of being able to express and reinvent yourself creatively. Approach your channel as one of the great masters like Renoir would have approached a work of art had the lighting changed...just alter the perspective. Bon chance!

I love all the ideas you mentioned of like reverse culture shock, differences in customs that you forgot about, your husband’s impressions etc! you have a wealth of knowledge to share. and as a fellow expat in France (though I’m American) I think the most interesting part of channels like yours is the analysis of the human experience in different places. keep it going! bisous!

Hi Rosie! I’ve skimmed through some of the other comments and agree with most that you have plenty of ideas and you even mentioned in this video the direction that you should probably take. You’re a very creative and perceptive person and I’m certain that as things come to you you will work your way through this in the way that feels most natural to you. I am sad that you were not able to delay this long enough to get your French citizenship. Perhaps give us more information on that as well in terms of whether you will be able to pick right up where you left off if and when you move back or whether you will have to start over? I think the most important thing is to do what feels right to you but also know that you don’t owe anyone any explanation of where you are or what you cover in your videos. People either choose to watch or they don’t. I wish you and your husband the very best and look forward to new videos from you! ❤️

Rosie, don't stop your KZbin channel! You helped me when I was struggling to adapt to life in Paris (and later I discovered we lived in adjacent neighborhoods!) and I know your continued information about France, and now New Zealand, will be helpful and enjoyable. But, do what makes you happy.

So pleased you're in NZ safe and sound Rosie, you've been in my thoughts so much. All the best for this exciting new adventure!! I'm slightly envious but at the same time so happy for you guys. As bittersweet as it all is, nothing can take away those 6 years of beautiful memories and France/Paris will always be there if ever you feel the calling to move back. Don't you dare stop making videos!! I wanna see footage and hear stories about my beautiful homeland, reverse culture shock, bicultural marriage and all that good stuff. There's soooo much more to talk about! ❤️

I just wanted to say thank you for all your content up to this point. As a young adult about to embark on her own overseas adventures that might involve France and a relationship soon, yours has been among the several channels I have come to for endless insight into a world I only know through my computer right now. It's been a blessing to me! Anything you can do to continue bringing us that content would definitely be appreciated. But also if you choose to not continue, just know you've definitely been a help to me. Thanks for such a lovely journey! God Bless!

Hi Rosie, glad to hear that all is well and that your reason for taking time off was an exciting one! I don't think it matters where you are living, you have so much experience and insight into the culture at this point, and that won't go away. Plus your husband is a constant resource and you'll still be visiting. I would actually really love to hear about life in New Zealand and how you and your husband adjust to being outside of France! We love you and love your videos no matter where you are. :)

Please don't end your channel. I just started watching and so enjoy what you have done. Your know how is what you should go on here, you answered your own question it sounds great . You see it is like people like you that gives people like me away of seeing parts of the world that some of us only dream about. One of my dreams came true three years ago when I got to visit Australia for a month something that I will cherish the rest of my life. So please keep doing what you do here. It is through your eye and words that I get to see parts of the world that are not within my reach. Thank you for sharing all that you do. Dreams are wonderful but living your dreams are unforgettable and only a few are lucky enough to do so. Love and hugs have a beautiful day Shirley

I am french from Paris, and I really like your channel because you're the only one on youtube who understand very well the french culture and mentality, your content is really fair. Keep going, there are enough french people in NZ, AU and french expat all arround the world to have enough to say about it. Your career as a freelance consultant is a great idea, this is what I did when I came back to France after 5 years in Sydney and it helps a lot to have more challenges and not feel like my life is exactly the same as 5yrs ago and that didn't move fwrd in my life and career. all the best

Please, please, please, keep up with the content related to France! This is my first comment ever, but I’ve been following you for some time now and basically binge watched your channel since I discovered it. I’m an expat myself (a Portuguese living in Ireland) and recently my husband was presented an opportunity to move to Paris. I can’t stress enough how passionate I am about France, but as a mother of two young children all the variables have to be considered and your content has been very helpful. I’m sure not only you’ll be able to be there for all of us, lovers of French culture looking for inside information, but to share with us how is life in that beautiful country of yours :) Wishing you all the best!
