Love your concealer description. No one does it better than you. In fact, i’m not sure anyone does anything similar consistently. I haven’t tried any Gucci complexion products except for the bronzer, which I love. Knowing that it full coverage has piqued my interest and I might check out in store.

I haven’t used an eye cream is so long. I tried the new Huda wishful one and I loved it but then I had an allergic reaction to it and I haven’t worn anything under my eyes except for maybe running my moisturizer up there a little bit. I should try to put some on the lids.

Yes. I do not like the PML consistency either. It is so thick and so difficult to blend. The tower is so so so much thinner. Try that or Natasha or shape tape radiant. But if you do the shape tape make sure it is radiant and not creamy and not original. The creamy in the original much more like the Pat McGrath.

No. The liquid lip that I used for this video, it’s kind of a cream liquid lip, no obvious or horrible perfume scent. Because I know exactly what you mean. So many of these French perfume houses just heavily perfume everything and on the lips it’s disconcerting because it’s right under the nose so you just smell it all day. Yuck.

ND concealer is LOVELY in that it's so creamy and pretty. It's TRUE medium in consistency and covers well but this rash of new concealers covers darkness a bit better. Remember, we are SPLITTING hairs here. They're all so good.

The packaging is gorgeous. I completely agree. Don’t sweat the shade choice too too much on a concealer. Honestly, as long as your foundation shade is correct there can be a lot of mistakes with concealer that nobody will end up noticing. Don’t tell anyone I admitted that.

Either way I am kinda glad I waited cause I was gonna get 24N and idk if I like that shade really maybe 25 looks better to me for a winter shade that's not that yellow peachy color.

The T28 likely would be better for drier skin. I’d agree with that. But they are very similar. It’s truly splitting hairs. Both have amazing coverage. I feel like the T28 actually creases less with powder.

I really enjoyed your review, Rebecca! I love how you explained texture versus coverage! At 62 years old, I definitely don’t want texture! Lol This Gucci concealer looks like a great option for me. In the past, I used YSL Touche Eclat under my eyes, as it had a wonderful brightening effect. Fortunately, I wasn’t graced with the “Dark Pits of Despair”, but I do have some hyperpigmentation, or dare I say, age spots!😅

I tried out the GUCCI yesterday and I really do like how it wore and the coverage. It’s a tough comparison to the Tower 29 because that is a serum. To me, it was a bit more like the Mario. Great review as always.

I’ve tried more foundations over the last year than I care to admit and the Gucci has been my absolute favorite (normal skin, I use a thin layer of face oil underneath for more slip) and so I quickly ordered the concealer when I found it online the other day. It should arrive today. I’m concerned I blew it on the shade choice. I often wear the same shades as you and in the foundation, I went in store months back and settled on 275C. It is perfect for me. So that is already different than your shade. For the concealer, I ordered 16C. I now fear I went way too light based on your shade pick when your foundation shade is a lower number than mine. We shall soon see how I fared! Glad to hear you enjoyed the formulation; it looks lovely on you.

Pam, I find that where shade choice matters LEAST is with concealer. Honestly. AS LONG AS your foundation shade is right, and you know it is because you chose in store, you can make the concealer work. Truly. I would not worry at all. BUT let me know what you think when yours comes.

It’s truly splitting hairs. They’re both thinner medium with the T28 being a serum. The Gucci is also thin medium but being full coverage, it covers a bit more, quickly.

Have you tried an Azalaic acid serum for the pores and redness? It works amazing and I have noticed a big difference. I'm usually into higher end or Korean skincare but Ulta has a brand called Peach Slices and they have an Azalaic acid 10% serum called redness relief and it's only like 20$ with the Ulta coupon I paid 17.50 and I added it into my nightime skincare it goes with everything ingredients wise too and it's really amazing in 2 weeks the pores were better and the redness and darkness started to fade. I noticed it's kinda hard to find Azalaic acid serums but Geek and Georgus and Paula's choice has one too but the *Peach Slices a nicer formula and cheaper then the PC one.

Loved this review! The total finished look was beautiful on you. I don't have any Gucci products except 2 blushes. I really haven't been using concealer, just color corrector doubling as a concealer. This one is beautiful though so I might have to try it when there is a sale as the price point is up there for me. There can never be too much dark puts of despair music!!! This coming from another dark pits of despair sufferer.

It’s nice to know that when I get it I’m not just getting it for the packaging (which I was totally fine doing😅). Please do not apologize for talking about your journalism career! This is the Gucci concealer review I’ve been waiting for! I needed to know where this sat on the concealer spectrum before I even considered it! Now that I know, it’s probably not perfect for me in spite of the gorgeous packaging! It looks great on you! If I ever decide to dip a toe on the other end of the medium spectrum range, this will be the one I choose! WHAT??!! How is the Dark Pits of Despair(tm) controversial??! 😂😂😂It’s adorable! It always makes me giggle. Come aboard the sound effect train, annoyed people, it’s completely delightful here!

I tried to use the sound effect more sparingly in this video but I need to let you know that it hurt! Ha ha I have had only three complaints. And they were three different videos so it might actually even be the same person. I don’t always check as much as it seems like I do when I answer replies. I admit this. So it might just be one very vocal person who is very anti-suspenseful music.

This is fun! I’m on a Gucci binge haha… so I have to ask if I can declutter my Hourglass and try the Gucci instead? I genuinely never liked the hourglass because it feels like way, way too much product in the application and unnatural coverage. It fights with me. So what do you think! Gucci is a good trade up on this concealer and on foundation. On blush I would still go with hourglass. So it’s a case by case basis ha ha

(And thanks for putting in the pits music once only - and appropriately at verdict time.) I had been hoping you would review this new concealer as your opinion is the only review I trust. Now that you have given this one your seal of approval, I am going to order it )not for the packaging but for the coverage. (FYI, if the darkness on your lids is due to lack of sleep, you could try using an eye-safe cream that contains vitamin K - it should help to clear up the blood that’s pooled in your capillaries.) I really sincerely thank you for investing in all the new concealers and doing real demos and wear-tests. I truly value your opinion (and if you link works for Canada, I will use it). Dark pits of despair where??? Your undereyes looked so bright!!! It's like Gucci bottled sleep! I get that darkness around my eyes from wearing eyeshadow too, but I think on me it's my eyes getting irritated from taking off the makeup and washing my face.

I think as long as you’re in the area with a colour, on a concealer it won’t matter that much. I do agree with you about Lancôme. These new developments in formulation are really helpful.

It is so strange for me to watch your video at 10:45 am with coffee instead of 3am with a glass of wine but here i am!! 🌞☕ Personally i think $47 is ridiculous for a concealer!! HOWEVER...if that was a pink sparkly lip gloss in that packaging IT WOULD BE MINE!! 🩷🩷 I have a friend that i bought a "touch of luxury" set from Sephora as a gift for Mothers Day & it had the Gucci mascara. She really loved it so i thought about curating a set for her with this concealer but can't quite decide on a shade. I turned my mom on to Tarte and tried to help my SIL but she's a nurse so doesn't bother too much with makeup these last few years of the pandemic!!

I know you're not feeling so great, Rebecca, but honestly, you're looking beautiful! Your hair cut and colour is fabulous on you and wowed me the moment you popped on screen. 😍 The coverage on the Gucci concealer looks very impressive (it would need to be to cover MY dark pits of despair 😉) and it looks lovely and smooth and seamless on your skin. I may take a second look after all! What deters me is trying to choose a shade online as I've heard a few people mentioning the undertones being off i.e. shades within the same tonal family having totally different undertones. If it looks as good on me as it does on you though, I'm in!

Well you are just the loveliest person and you have made my day. Thank you so very much. Yes. The undertones are weird as can be. Look at those two neutral shades that I chose. They are one shade apart and couldn’t be any more different. Very strange but, thankfully, we can get away with a lot with concealer that we can’t get away with in an inaccurate foundation.

At least if the undertone of a concealer is a little off then it might be useful as a corrector instead...or blended with another concealer that leans on the opposite side of the tonal spectrum. I'm less picky about concealer shades too as you can usually make them work within reason and with a bit of work. 😉 I'd be interested to know if you have an opinion on which concealer you prefer between the Gucci and Haus Labs or if it's just too close to compare. We seem to have similar preferences on the concealer spectrum (I also hate the Pat McGrath but am partial to the Armani Power Fabric!) Hope you're feeling as good as you're looking very soon. 🥰

And i have their bronzer for what is it, 3 years, i think in shade 1, good. That's it. But this sounds interesting! I have no comparision to the other brands, Mario, Haus Labs, Tower 28 they are not here in EU. Well, Sephora France started with Makeup by Mario, but not the concealer yet, they never make tempo there, so why now 😂😂 But this Gucci concealer is all over NL here, at Bijenkorf, at ICI Paris XL, at Douglas. 🌸That packaging had me running to pick it up. It looks fantastic on you. On me, with extremely dry skin, it just looked like a dry, crumbly, wrinkly disaster. I'm not sure what music I'd need, but it would def be gloom and doom. I love your under eye theme music, btw. Thank goodness there are so many quality options out there. I was thinking of trying the Haus labs one but I’ve been loving the Natasha Denona concealer in Peach 1 of all the brands! Both the color and formulation - not too thick or too thin. 🩷 I have the same dark pits of despair. Let’s organize a sleep club next! Then we won’t need concealer😂
