I recently bought Orgasm Rising on a pretty good sale and so I don't know that this one would give looks that are much different. But I am really happy to see that, as with their past half dozen or so palettes, there is no aluminum powder in this one. Nars really is my favorite "clean beauty" company now, and it is to their credit that they have made this happen without anyone noticing or complaining about it!

Regarding repeated colour stories, two thoughts: 1. Not all of us buy everything always and therefore it is not repeated to people like me. 2. If you consider the life span of the products, you should not really compare to things released a couple of years ago 😘 My assumption is that Nars want to have a neutral leaning pallet on offer at all times, and current trends decide where it is leaning. This time it seems peachier and warmer! Absolutely LOVE your videos Rececca, and the fact it is so easy to relate to you and your approach to makeup. Thank your for being such a positive voice in this mad world! 🙏🏻

I love this explanation. Totally agree. Completely utterly agree. It’s really the reason I don’t do 1 million comparisons. I have to do some because people request it and people expect it and I understand that entirely but doing 1 million of them for 30 minutes doesn’t do anyone any good. Exactly. We are not supposed to have the stuff with us anyway Plus, I really think that it’s an art form there and just like we recognize a Miro or a Matisse, we recognize the style of François Nars.

It’s super important for people to note how inclusive this color story is. The Natasha Denona I Need a Nude Palette & the Mario Ethereal were HUGE last year but unfortunately lacked the color variety deeper complexions needed to create more than one or two looks. This color story allows for people of SO many complexions get that pretty, ethereal glow that some people have been missing out on.

I know people think Nars is repetitive, but these are the shades I love. It's nice because they're always limited edition but you get a chance to try them regarledess since they'll re-release some shades or do a similar color story again. I really enjoy the formula. Soft shimmers and incredible mattes. Definitely a sophisticated look as you said.

I like NARS but I realize I don’t own an eye palette. As you showed everyone, all similar colors but also in each palette, not too different colors. They’re all pretty close and very warm. I’ve been looking for an upgrade for my naked eyeshadow and this is perfect. I ordered and figured it’s little to dark for my brown-pigmented eyes and there is a satin light lid color missing. Otherwise it is good for me! Thank you for the looks. ❤

I love the packaging but the colour story makes it an easy pass for me. The last Nars palette I was excited for was the Climax nine pan. I have Orgasm Rising but I don’t love it. I’m going to give that outer corner technique a try. I suck at doing my outer corners and this looks super easy!!

I love NARS too! Happy early birthday! Mine is today!🎉 I enjoy the slight differences in tones and prefer the palettes that lean more peach, brown or warm pink. I have and love Summer Solstice and Orgasm Rising. I skipped the holiday nine pan because it leaned more burgundy, purple and cooler pink which are not great shades on me. I usually wait for these to go on sale or even to show up at TJ Maxx. I will add this one to my wishlist along with Summer Unrated. Love how you showed the versatility of the palette by doing two very different looks. Great video ❤

I’m going to be a contrarian. When you held them up next to each other they were all more different than I thought they were! They definitely have different nuances in tone, color story, etc! I only have one NARS eye palette, the Climax palette. The quality is absolutely amazing. I can absolutely understand why you love these palettes!! I think 2024 will be my year to pick up a warmer NARS palette!

I think the pallet is pretty but I already have 2 Nars pallets that r too similar. Honestly I'm personally a little tired of the pink and warm shades from Nars and Pat Mcgrath. But I know it's hypocritical because when Natasha denona just released a mini nude pallet even though I have her I need a nude pallet. And I was so excited for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ u do love Nars as brand though, and I would love to see them do a Cool toned pallet with maybe like 1 pop of color in it.

Hello Dawn! you give me an interesting idea for a video with this question and for a moment I had to stop and wonder what exactly you were asking but then I realized you mean what shape of eyeshadow brush goes where. And it’s a great question. I think I need to make a note to try to do a video on it but, just quickly for you here, the thicker fuller brushes like rephr 1, 15 or 27, often called blending brushes, are used to disperse shadow all over the lid. They are good for a wash of color if you are doing only one shade on your eye. They are good for a nice light matte color all over the eye. They are also really nice to do windshield wiper motions back-and-forth in the crease of the eye with a matte shade. I’m simplifying this for purposes here to keep it short but like the rephr 2 or 26 are really nice for the outer parts of the eyelid and their flat portions will smoke out the eye underneath really beautifully. Anything that has a little bit of a flatter tip like the two can be really nice to spread a sparkle across the lid and any of the pencil brushes which are just eyeshadow brushes which kind of come to a tip, are really good to put liner underneath lashes or really tight on top of the lashes as well. That was a very basic but I’m hoping it helped a little bit? Let me know.

I will ask if I have problems as I wear hardly any eyeshadow due to hooded lids. One eye especially!☹️☹️ You do a wonderful job of applying shadows. You put MUA’S to shame. You do a real look for real life.👍🏻👍🏻

NARS caters to their Asian customers. i don't know how much they sell in the U.S. but they sell very well in countries like China and Japan. Women in these countries love red, peach , pink everything. So if you are making a fortiune selling to ppl that love these shades of course this is what you will produce. I just don;'t understand why they stopped throwing us a bone every once in a while and come out with something different. They did a year or so ago with that bijou palette I think. ever since then its been all red , pink everything. What happened to their very well received larger palette style? Remember that? We never saw that style again. We also have to stop looking in the past for NARS. They used to be the PMG of the late 80's 90's and ear;y aughts . Shiseido bought them and ruined the brand by taking out the edgy, rock n roll aspect of it and playing it safe. We will never see NARS as it was back in the day, again.
