There's so much 🧢 in these comments I feel like I walked into a Lids store. AB didn't dog walk anyone, but neither did MB. It was a hell of a fight that could've easily ended in a draw. When you watch without bias, although it was close, AB did not win that fight. Even she knew it. That's why her reaction was what it was when her name was called. You can see the surprise. And that's probably also the real reason she shut down rematch talk. If she was confident in her win, there would be no reason not to give her best competition a rematch. There have been some great boxing rivalries. All because they wanted to be the best, didn't shy away from fighting the best, and had no problem putting their belts on the line to prove without a reasonable doubt they were the best p4p fighter in their class. They didn't run scared with a bag full of excuses.

Nah she shut it down because MB was no respectable opponent that she wants to fight again. She's been dogging AB from the beginning. Once you defeat an opp like that, you move on. AB just had better adjustment, better footwork and jabs. Definitely needs to work on her defense. MB just needs to work on technique and stop leaning on her height when it comes to shorter boxers. Just because you have longer reach doesn't mean you'll necessarily hit an opponent with it. Worse case scenario, you'll get winded and that's exactly what happened. She got winded, lost form and allowed her opponent to control the ring.

There was plenty enough to go around on both sides, but to me, it wasn't even all that. Maybe because I'm more of a men's boxing fan where the trash talk and disrespect between boxers leading up to the fight is generally much worse. That's no excuse not to take a rematch. When the fight is as close as that one was ending in a controversial decision, you run it back. Period. The only reason not to fight is that you're scared of losing.

Ode to Mikaela, Content including racism: Black friend warning- I don’t understand how Savannah gets called racist, but she hasn’t done anything wrong, and some how Savannah still doesn’t say she has a Black friend. At the same time, Mikaela calls Baumgardner horse face, and Mikaela’s response was apparently she dates a chocolate person?? If I ever meet Mikaela, I want to double check that actually happened because I didn’t see video footage. Caution I am about to explode. I could make Mike Tyson cry with my words. My wrath is not to be taken lightly. Even I’m scared of myself and what’s about to happen. Please be careful because you are about to meet the most natural finisher alive. To anyone who experiences discrimination, heads up: Mikaela saying she has different Black friends/boyfriend is in no way an apology to the Black person she called horse face. From my POV, it looks like Mikaela doesn’t have Black friends, just Black people who do lots of nice things for her, so she is occasionally “thoughtful” back. This works because a basic way the system works. It encourages those less privileged to do nice things for the more privileged, but it’s not mutual. Additionally, multiple times Mikaela has given me the impression she thinks being Black is cool or trendy. After her Black coach, Mr. Mitchell retired because his Black athlete died, Mikaela asked him to come out of retirement for her. I am tired of Mikaela always pretending to be the victim when she is the creates the problem. I respect that I don’t know Mikaela at all, so maybe she has done some things I haven’t seen for Black people, but like I said I have never seen Mikaela do nice things for Black people. She just expects Black people to do nice things for her, and then she uses that to market herself as progressive. Keep in mind she did this even after calling Baumgardner horse face. Mikaela claims her coach’s high IQ as her own, but I can easily tell the difference. When Mikaela fought Baumgardner, Mikaela had to be told by her coach to come over top because Baumgardner keeps her hands low! Mikaela couldn’t see this for herself, and she could not make the adjustment. It was clearly a strategic boxing match and Baumgardner gave Mikaela plenty of time to think. Mikaela has no problem calling herself smart in interviews and giving no credit to her coach, too. I certainly have never seen Mikaela show compassion for Black people the way Savannah shows empathy and compassion for Black people. I have said I don’t believe violence can solve the discrimination problems Mikaela has created, but I have waited a long time to have a wack at Mikaela in a different way. Mikaela is her own high functioning system. Mikaela needs to take her fake activism somewhere else because she really just has extreme attention seeking behavior, and that’s embarrassing because we’re in our 30s. I want to support Mikaela as a female athlete, but there are quite a few problems she must address first. Mikaela must apologize for many things. I am also sorry to Black people who found this post hard to read. I have noticed multiple Black people saying there are serious racist issues surrounding Mikaela but change is not happening.
