Nothing Ear (Open) Review: Not For Everyone!

I really like these type of designed earbuds. They’re perfect for the gym and running! I was in the market for something like these and unfortunately the only good ones i could find were 5 year old power beats pro which is due for a refresh next year. I’m definitely getting these as i believe the power beats would be ridiculously priced

@@GadgetsBoy in this same use case - at the gym - these would def not work for me as I *do not* want to hear the music they are playing overhead, people talking around me, etc as I'm working out. THANK YOU for the great review and the transparency about them. I just watched the Nothing release video and was intrigued and glad to know more about them now too.

The Powerbeats pro are WAY overdue for a refresh. By the sound of it these won’t compare sound-wise to PB pro are there refresh rumours already?

I have every style of headphones and earphones. I cycle a lot and use open air conducting style earphones from Soundpeats RunFree, Tozo OpenRun and Tozo Open Buds. I prefer these because the sound quality, situation awareness and battery life are a good balance. The Tozo's can be affected in wet conditions, because the touch sensors near the straps can pause the music accidentally. The Soundpeats don't have this issue using proper buttons. The Nothing Ear may suffer the same issue unless there is a function to disable the touch controls like the Samsung Galaxy Buds. Overall I am starting to prefer open earphones, because I don't have to push them into my ears. Shokz OpenFit and OpenFit Air are couple of many rivals to the Nothing Ear, and there are plenty of cheap rivals.

Not for me, bit bulky looking. Maybe they will look a bit discrete in a darker colour but they could be ideal for work where you want music but still want to be fully aware of your surroundings, colleagues calling you on site. By the way, have you tried CMF Buds pro 2 by nothing? They're quite bass heavy but it was the dial on the case that got my attention and can be quite useful.

every review I watch seems to leave out the fact these are 7x more expensive than they should be for what they are.

They should have included noise cancellation, situational awareness is an excuse, anc can be made toggleable. You can turn it off or increase transparency.
