Margaret- I found you on utube recently. Just wanted to let you know that I am a 78 year old grandmother from Canada. Namely the little tiny province of Prince Edward Island. I just love you Margaret. You give me a good laugh every week. I can sooooo identify with you and your “thought process”. I would love to have you as a neighbour. We could drink tea together. You will eventually get to live in your new place and I enjoy following you in this journey. You are what I call “real”. There is nothing phoney about you. Keep up the good work, Margaret! Looking forward to seeing you regularly.

I enjoyed seeing Nikki, she’s a doll. Your week sounds like many of ours as we get busy, especially with children involved, and things don’t always go as planned. I’d just like to get in and out of a store without making a fool out of myself because of some misstep on my part. We get a bit scatterbrained as we get older. Ah, such is life!

I wonder if you could cut the bottom of the doors to make them 1/2” to 3/4” shorter to clear the rug? If you have ever used a circular saw, it’s easy peasy. It could also be done with a sawsall, jigsaw, or oscillating tool but it’s harder (for me) to get an accurate and smooth cut with the last 3. A handsaw is another option but that would be my last choice mostly because mine are so dull.

You’ll cope better when you accept that it will be a good year before your place is done. We lived with my son and his then fiancé for 10 months while our place was being built. They had bought our house. It wasn’t fun, and they both worked full time. Our house was months over the original estimated finish date. I think they know that when they give you the delivery date. When your work day is over, and the kids are home, do your thing in your space. Both you, and they, need your own space.

Long time no see Margaret 🙃😥. Miss seeing you, so what a surprise to see you on. So good to finally meet the “ My Nikki so often spoken about,” she a cutie. All you need to do is take the doors off and have Mike shave the bottom of the doors a bit, they will have to do it anyways if they are putting carpet in. An easy peasy fix! Why are you spending money on this house, when you will be moving? Just curious. Hope all that your buying will fit in your new house. 🤷🏼♀️. I’m not saying that in an unkind way, just trying to figure that out. lol. I would be saving my money for when I moved into my New Home. Love ya Ladybug, Karla

The doors are hollow and would need too much cut. Also, they are pretty sure they are not keeping them. They are pulling up the floors and replacing all with new wood flooring. Hello Margaret! I'm back as I finished watching the video. Thank you for sharing your week with us. That lady is in detention, no more on her issues 😅. Again nice meeting Nikki she's beautiful. Oh my it's going to get busy at this house. Sorry about the rug, i hate when that happens. I would've sent it all back, too frustrating. Then ordered one to go in perimeter sized at least a foot from the walls. Nice to hsve a rug to step on. Will you be able to use it in new house? Are they refinishing the floors? I'm overbearing & my kids just ignore me when they want. No problem. Seriously though I try to be considerate & kind to others even if I don't think they're deserving, trying to be a better human. I got grumpy coming to my 70s now 72nd year really would like to be sweet again. Here comes critical me- the architect may not have been best choice. But regroup & pray lol...seriously probably best we can do. It's a shame the kids have to rethink some things they wanted. 😢 💙. Can you stay in baby's room put her in theirs until things are done? I'm behind i guess as I didn't realize you'd be sharing same house for awhile. I'll work out. You're a wonderful grandmother the excitement of new little one is great part of life. My oldest grandson is 28 & youngest turning 14 unfortunately I don’t live near them. My advice, enjoy!! Yes i give unsolicited advice, truly the best years. Have a wonderful week ❤.
@MargaretbeingMargaret7 ай бұрын
This rug is a foot all around, but that is not enough for the doors to swing. I bought it knowing I can use it in my house so it’s fine. The plan was never to share the house but the hold up with the architect is costing them dearly with holding 2 mortgages. They will rent out their other house…just makes financial sense. Thanks so much for checking in!

I don't understand why people feel the need to make person comments like you are reading. I"m a Christian (not a religion but a real relationship to the Lord) this is so disheartening because Jesus would not want us to be so critical. After all you don't need a total stranger, with a not nice attitude, giving you these type of comments. Of course I"m sure you expect these kind of comments every now and then. People forget what my mom used to say.. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

The result is people seem to walk up to me and ask me the most insane questions. But thats not the funny part. The funny part is I usually have the answer. When did I become such a wealth of knowledge? Pity it didn’t show up a lot earlier in my life. Mind you I don’t seem to take my own advice and stuff up what I am doing…the rug is a good example. It’s not a major stuff up but takes longer than it should and now I am p***ed off because what I had in my head (OK I admit there’s not much up there) is not what I visualised and now I’m exhausted and need a cuppa.
